JOURNEYMAN Ends Its Journey
December 12, 2007 by Kath Skerry
It’s with a heavy heart that I come bearing bad news for JOURNEYMAN fans. According to E!’s Kristin Dos Santos, JOURNEYMAN has closed up shop for good, and not just because of the writers strike. It seems that Journeyman is gone even if the WGA strike were to end soon.
There are two more episodes that have yet to air and I’m doing my best to find out about them. Let’s hope NBC decides to air them and not put them on NBC.com where I refuse to watch them. I mean, come on, why would they pull original content when shows are drying up everywhere you look. But money is money I guess.
Will we ever get the answers to the mystery of Dan and Livia’s time traveling? Chalk it up to yet another show that I get invested in that is dumped by the networks. You have to wonder if it’s all worth it, no?
UPDATE: I just heard back from a contact who told me that the last two episodes will air on NBC. They will air on Monday, December 17th and Wednesday, December 19th (special night).

That is f’ng crap! This was such a great show. It totally sucked me in with great acting, interesting stories and a smart approach to handling a complicated premise. They made something as unbelievable as time travel realistic, or at least they dealt with its implications realistically. I can’t believe we’re never going to learn who was controlling Dan and Livia’s travels and how and why. I’m so ticked off right now. This and Chuck were my favorite new shows.
The network probably figures that the viewing audience hates them anyway right now, so why not take care of this ugly business when public perception can’t get any worse.
Ugh!
I didn’t get into Journeyman right away when the season began, but it became one of my must-sees. I’m sad to hear they’re giving it the axe.

Check out this breaking news story from Entertainment Weekly – there may yet be hope for Journeyman!! And at the very least, we’ll get closure!

Crap! Maybe Sci-fi channel will pick it up? 🙁 probably not! I’m sooo sad. I’ll barely have a reason to even turn my tv on anymore.
Lala – I think there is a decent shot at some kind of closure, but as of now no new episodes have been ordered. Then again, there is a writers strike and ordering new eps would be a worthless act. But let’s just say that I didn’t get a good vibe from my source.
A (somewhat) original, quality, scifi show and it gets cancelled. Shocker.
Yes, I’m ticked. It’s one of the few shows this season that I really ended up loving.
I am so pissed!!! This is the third season in a row (Windfall, Studio 60, Journeyman) that NBC has pulled me into a good show only to pull the rug out beneath me. NBC should go back to producing more mini-series, that way we know how much time we should expect. I have always been very pro-NBC, but this is definately pushing me away. . .
What a pisser. Monday night’s epi was great and had me really looking forward to what happenes next. Part of me is even more ticked that they are blowing the last two episodes in December when nobody is home to see. If SciFi does pick this up? I will be there!
::insert slur of cuss words:: RAWR!! This really upsets me.. I love this show a lot – probably my #2 favorite of the new shows this season. This sucks 🙁 At least we’ll get to see the remaining episodes… that’s good I guess. What a mean day to learn this on.. I’m losing my “Pushing Daisies” (hopefully just temporarily) and then they do this.
Continue the curse of the Monday night 10:00 pm time slot on NBC. Why do they keep putting good shows in that timeslot, they just end up getting killed there?
When the show first came on I tried to avoid it because I didn’t want to get into new shows only to have them cancelled. However after watching one episode I was hooked! I’m so upset right now, NBC is killing me. The same thing happened with the Black Donnelly’s last year. I don’t think I will get into any new NBC shows next season until I know they have been picked up!
My family and I love the show, Journeyman, and looked forward to it every week, and now it’s being cancelled. Who is making these decisions. The great acting, storyline, and endearing human elements gave us a positive ‘feel good’ hour in a week filled with mostly garbage programs. You gave us a great show and now have yanked it away from us. NBC needs to have a bit of foresight and patience, and realize that Journeyman had great potential. Remember ‘Mash’, that show had problems with ratings it’s first year. – The cancellation of a quality show such as Journeyman saddens us and discourages us from investing time and interest in other NBC programs.
