TV and Holiday Catch Up

December 26, 2007 by

For those of you who celebrate, I hope you had a nice Christmas. For those of you who don’t, I hope you enjoyed a nice day off from work or school. I had a nice time with my family and can’t wait to use my brand new GPS system.  What did you do for the holidays?  Get any good presents from Santa?  Tell us about ’em in the comments below.

So let’s talk TV. Even without the WGA strike, this week is always kind of a bust when it comes to TV. But there are some reruns of my favorite shows, and if you only watch a few select shows, maybe now is the time to check out some newbies you haven’t seen yet. For me, it’s all about BUFFY.  I’ve just finished S1 and hoping that maybe Ducky will let me borrow subsequent season (pretty please)  But what about live network TV tonight? Want a few suggestions?

No DVR for me tonight, so that means only one show at a time – the horror!! What will YOU be watching?!

Pushing Daisies | 8pm on ABC
“Dummy”
Ned suspects foul play when an automotive expert dies in a mysterious traffic accident. Meanwhile, Chuck presses Ned about how he revived her.

Gossip Girl | 9pm on The CW
“Poison Ivy”
Dan and Nate compete for an usher position when Ivy League representatives visit their school. Meanwhile, Blair learns a secret about Serena; Jenny and Eric get acquainted; and Rufus asks Lily for a favor.

Dirty Sexy Money | 10pm on ABC
“The Lions”
Nick begins his quest to find his father’s killer; Juliet balks at a family-photo event with real lions; Tripp pressures Patrick to throw his hat into the senatorial ring; Jeremy’s latest fling is likely to incur his twin’s wrath.

I may use tonight to et my mom hooked on Pushing Daisies. She has not yet discovered the wonder of PD…. and so tonight may be the night.

In terms of presents, I got a lot of cool stuff, including CSI: S6 on DVD… so, that may be busted out tonight also!

I was on an Alias S5 marathon. It was the season I missed. As much as I love Amy Acker, I have a hard time buying her tough girl act.

I am so glad that you’re watching Buffy. I consider you a much better TV expert than myself, and I watched all of Buffy. It just seemed strange that you didn’t watch that. So yay!!!!

I got an iPod Touch from my husband for Chanukah a few weeks ago. It’s an awesome gift, but the only downside is no more Office on iTunes. 🙁 I’m still enjoying it though.

No TV for me tonight, I have Parent-Teacher conferences (why can’t my son’s school be more like Toby’s daughter’s school and schedule them in the morning so I can come in late to work?) Also, my husband decided to rearrange the living room furniture and moved the TV to a wall where there is no cable hook-up, so I don’t even have live TV at the moment. I may just have to break out my Office DVD’s until the cable co. comes to pull a line over.

Merry Christmas, GMMR, it sounds like it was fun. Mine was awesome.

Got an iPhone and am in prep for activating it and am with HCH that I’m a tad bummed about no Office on iTunes!

Anyway, happy new year to all 🙂

Good point! I will move it to my
    Richcupids.com
blog. It is just for wealthy singles, millionaires, and celebrities. I think this topic will be hot there.

My bf got the first season of Dexter, which we just finished watching. I got the first season of Monk. It’s all about crime for us, apparently.

I had a nice quiet christmas. I was way excited to get Freaks and Geeks on DVD. That may be my favorite show of all time (next to Wonderfalls and VMars, of course). And to solidify my geek status, my sister got me a T-shirt with Bill’s face on it that says “Bill the stud”.
