Heath Ledger Dead at 28

Not TV related, but it hurt my heart so much that I had to share it with others. According to Extra, New York Police have confirmed reports that they found actor Heath Ledger dead in his New York apartment earlier today. My friend Kerry just passed along this devastating news. I am so saddened.  Not only did we lose an incredible young actor, but his little daughter, Matlida, lost her daddy.

A New York Police Department spokesman tells the Associated Press that Heath Ledger has been found dead at a downtown Manhattan residence. He was at 3:26 PM by his housekeeper.

It is unclear at this point how he died. He was 28.

The Australian actor was nominated for an Academy Award for “Brokeback Mountain” and had a huge career ahead of him. Not only was he one of seven actors playing Bob Dylan in “I’m Not There,” but he just wrapped “The Dark Knight” playing legendary character The Joker.

He has a two-year-old daughter with his “Brokeback” co-star Michelle Williams.

They said there was sleeping pills all around him. Too sad. I hope this was an accidental overdose and not a intentional suicide. RIP

So sad. He seemed like one of the few Hollywood types who had his head on straight.

This is so sad and shocking. He was one of my favorite actors and he seemed so nice and normal. This is especially tragic for his young daughter. She may never know the truth about her father’s death. These things usually remain a mystery.

Very sad. He was somewhat TV-related. Remember his short-lived series “Roar”? I just hope he’s respected no matter what the cause of death may be.

As soon as I found out, all I could think of was his daughter. It’s really sad that she won’t remember him when she’s older. I don’t know, maybe she will but still… she won’t grow up with him there.

I was completely shocked and saddened when I heard the news of his death. I did not see this one coming at all. The world has lost a very talented actor, but as you mentioned GMMR, a little girl has lost her dad and that is devastating.

I loved Heath Ledger in everything I saw him in. When I hear of actors passing I get sad, but not like this. For some reason, his death is really affecting me. I am so saddened by his death and I have been depressed all day. Heath was one of those actor’s whose work was always so amazing. He was one of my favorite actors out there and I am so sad about his death. I really feel bad for his little daughter. I don’t think he would commit suicide and I refuse to believe that the sleeping pills they found near his bed had anything to do with it. I don’t want to believe that.

My heart goes out to his little one and his family and friends I can only imagine how difficult this is for them, I wish them all the strength in the world to go on, and keep his memory alive, to remember all the beautiful memories, to always remind Matilda what a loving father she had most power to them now and ever. He is really a great all-around actor. His role in Brokeback Mountain was definitely a breakthrough for him. But my favorite is “Candy”. Really enjoy every minute of it even on DVD: dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?deal_id=79945&ru=279 , Thanks for all the great memories Sweetheart! God bless you! Always miss you!!!
