The Patriots Lost….But We All Win

February 3, 2008 by

It’s a tough night around here.  I still can’t believe the Patriots lost.  Congratulations to the Giants.  I ask that you be kind in my time of sorrow and not rub too much salt in the wound.  It’s a bummer of a night, but leave it to me to find the silver lining.

Ladies…the silver lining: John Krasinski wearing a Patriots hat.  It’s the little things that matter.

Hey…don’t feel too bad. I go to Ohio State…my team lost the championship 2 years in a row…I know how you feel and don’t worry life will go on. 🙂

I don’t care about football, but I was rooting for the Pats because of that man up there. Those pictures of him make me so happy.
Anyways, um… House was good after the Superbowl

I’m from the south, but my boyfriend’s a total Pats fan. He’s now terribly sad and heartbroken. I was rooting for them too in his honor. Very sad game.

And Katie, as an Ohio State fan myself, I agree. We know how they feel.

Big time Patriots fan here too. Pretty sad/disappointed but am definitely thankful for the jkras love. His little ‘red carpet’ interview with Seacrest and of course the hat made it all okay. Keep your chin up, we’ll get through this.

I’ll admit, I was rooting for the Giants because I wanted LilBro Manning to get the ring since BigBro Manning got one last year. What? Is there another way to choose your team?

But I’ll still gush Krasinski in a Patriots cap. Awwww….

  10. Mandy on February 4th, 2008 1:44 am

I was rooting for the Giants all the way, I like both Manning boys, but J.Kras was looking mighty fine with that hat!

I’m a Philly sports fan and we haven’t won anything since ’83. You haven’t won anything since ’07 (the Sox).

But I wanted to see perfection, and I hate the Giants, so I can commiserate.

So this is weird but those are different clothes than in the Super Bowl shop. Are these different days? Also, I saw the Leatherheads commercial. I know he has time and funds to go to the game, but I wonder if these ads get tix to get the game and he went there that way?

  13. Lisa (aka lmr722) on February 4th, 2008 6:40 am

Was thinking of you, GMMR, during the pre-show and hoping that you’d catch it with JKras. It was the only highlight for me.

As a greater Bostonian, I am shocked, hurt, in denial … name a stage of grief and I’m there. I guess we have to take solace in an 18-0 regular season and bear up to the fact that there was one game too many 🙁 I’d like to be a good sport and congratulate the giants but those Manning boys just get on my last nerve. What can I say.

  14. lisa on February 4th, 2008 7:19 am

Wow what a game!!! I swear that was one of the best football games I have ever watched. I was hoping the Pats would take it for the perfect season, but for it to come down to the last two minutes like it did, that was just amazing. I am happy for Eli though. Good for him. My poor Pats…love John though!!!! Great picture.

I’m bummed. But oh, well. I would have still had to drag my butt to work this morning if they had won, right?

It really stinks but I think that they were fighting a losing battle anyway. If they had won, everyone would have said that they were a bunch of cheaters and that they shouldn’t get recognized for being undefeated. Don’t get me wrong, I still wanted them to win but this whole season has left a bad taste in my mouth because of the whole Spygate nonsense. Having said that, they still had an amazing season! And I freaking love Tom Brady. And John Krasinski. I think maybe the neighbors heard my squeal when he appeared during the pre-game show!

I haven’t watched pro football in a long time (I watch college football more often), but I have to admit to rooting for the Giants. I like an underdog and that last quarter was very exciting. I am very willing to console JK though 😉

  17. Aeria on February 4th, 2008 12:48 pm

I think I may be crazy but I swear to god I think that Eli Manning and JKras look kind of similar. Am I crazy or does anyone else see it too?

  18. Give Me My Remote on February 4th, 2008 12:59 pm

No, I think in many instances they could easily pass for brothers. I think Eli is little more Jim Halpert circa Season 2. Last night when they went for the coin toss a few people mentioned it.

  19. Tim G. on February 4th, 2008 1:18 pm

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, MY FRIENDS!

Giants fan since birth, thought I’d never see another one of these.

I think I liked watching the Pats lose as much as I loved watching the Giants win. Winners never cheat and cheaters never win!

Oh, and have fun with Congress over that little video taping incident. 😀

  20. Tim G. on February 4th, 2008 1:24 pm

Oh, and I will say that most Pats fans are being very gracious.

Far more gracious than your players or coach. Anyone else feel like smacking Belachick for being such a jerk in his post-game interview?

  21. mg714 on February 4th, 2008 1:42 pm

I hope J.Kras on the “red carpet” shows up online somewhere! I wasn’t too into the game yesterday, but (with apologies to Kath) I was rooting for the underdog Giants, too. But believe me, I know your pain – the sting of my Bears losing last year is still with me – at least the Pats have 3 rings this decade! I’m happy for Eli Manning at least.

  22. tara on February 4th, 2008 4:52 pm

Born and bred in New York and I love my Giants, but I never thought we would pull it off against a team with a perfect, i mean ALMOST perfect season ; ) . I’m sorry your sad the pat’s lost GMMR but come on, they’ve already won twice in the past 4 years lol

Premature Ejaculation is the lack of ejaculatory control and it truly is the most common of all sexual difficulties in males. Since it’s natural, you can use it freely without any risk of adverse effects.
