Big Brother 9 Recap: Paranoia Sets In

What’s an episode of BIG BROTHER without a little yelling, cursing, and a quickie in the bathroom? Yes, there was a little bit of everything in last night’s episode. But paranoia seemed to be running a muck in the BB house. With past relationships revealed and others concocted, it seems that the houseguests are all just a bit suspicious of each other and it’s turning ugly…early.

On the block…
On Sunday we learned that Allison & Ryan and Jen & Parker were nominated for eviction. No big surprise there. Jen has made mistake after mistake since entering this house. She and Ryan could have gone the entire game without spilling their secret, but no, at the first sign of trouble she tells Parker. Then they went and told the whole house. Hello target. Has she never watched this show before?

With that foursome on the block, it was destined that dating couple Jen and Ryan would be split as one of them would have to depart from the house. Unless of course they won the coveted golden power of veto. But they were up against some stiff competition with current HOH’s Amanda & Alex trying to secure their nominations and fringe players Natalie & Matt trying to prove they were a strong team.

The Veto Ceremony….
Matt and Parker had a few side convos during which Matt let Parker believe that if he won PoV he might use it on him. So when Matt & Natalie got the big win, Parker got a little over confident. But it was all for naught, because during the Veto ceremony, Matt & Natalie opted not to use the veto and to keep Allison & Ryan and Jen & Parker on the block.

Now the fun begins. Will Ryan actively campaign to get his girlfriend boosted from the house? We know that Jen has no problem with it at all. Can Parker keep his temper and attitude in check this week or will he alienate even more of his housemates?

A New Twosome…
In other house news, Neil abruptly left the game with no goodbye and barely a mention. There’s a few rumors flying around as to why he left, all personal reasons, but not official statement had been given. I’m really bummed out because I was kind of pulling for him and Josh. Needing a partner, Josh had the option to bring back recently ousted Sharon and Jacob. It was a bit of a no brainer that he brought Sharon back. I’m not a fan but she’s better than Jacob.

Risky Game Play…
Sheila and Allison are still keeping up their charade that they are a married lesbian couple with a son at home. Why? I’m not sure. I think this is all going to blow up in their faces…big time. Why would they concoct having a relationship outside of the house when they know that will eventually be a big target on their back? And why lie to your housemates who are ultimately going to feel betrayed when they find out you’ve been lying to them? Stupid move on their part and I hope it comes back to bite them in the ass. I’m interested to know if Ryan knows of this rumor and whether or not he’ll be pissed at Allison for making this strategic move without him knowing about it. Especially since she ripped him a new one when he revealed his relationship with Jen.

Paranoia and Jealousy = Drama…
Why do all these houseguests assume that they ARE soulmates just because the producers of BIG BROTHER paired them up? Amanda and Alex are bickering like an old married couple already. Alex seems to think that Parker and Amanda knew each other before entering the house. James and his over analyzing said a few things that got Alex paranoid that his partner wasn’t being truthful. This of course led to a confrontation with Parker, Amanda, Alex and James…not fun. She’s an asshat and Alex is jealous and controlling. Parker is a bit of a douche, and James…well he actually didn’t do anything wrong in this situation although he somehow got the brunt of it. Things are already turning nasty and it’s been less than 2 weeks.

Speaking of nasty, we hardly saw Adam last night and therefore didn’t have to witness him and Sheila verbally sparring…thank god. The rest of the houseguests should just stay low and let Adam and Sheila dig their own graves.

So much drama…and I kind of love it. Tonight is the eviction ceremony and we’ll say goodbye to hopefully Parker & Jen. It all depends on how much ass was kissed this week.

Who do you want evicted from the Big Brother house? Jen & Parker or Allison & Ryan? Why…

I want Jen and Parker to leave. I hated Jen’s re-action to Allison confronting her about revealing that Jen & Ryan are a couple. Jen and Ryan totally blew that secret…they could have used it to their advantage, but instead it looks like it will be their demise.

I feel bad for Alex…I’m rooting for him and Amanda, and once Parker’s gone maybe they can be a better team again. (Great 4 people alliance with Nat & Matt, too!) I’m not sure why they can’t agree to work with their partner, and not trash talk each other. They each have a solid alliance in each other – why can’t they use that to their advantage?

And I agree – Allison & Sheila’s plan is stupid – and should blow up in their face. Too bad – b/c I like Ryan. 🙂

Jen is pityful. She obviously is going through life with blinders on and getting spoiled along the way. Her deceit and attitude just projects BRAT.

I cant wait to see her walk out that door – even though she and Parker stir things up.

I miss Howie & Janelle!! Oh HOWIE 🙂

What’s your opinion on the Lesbian twist – should they of done that?

    Happy Wednesday All!

OOOPSY! I got ahead of myself as usual 🙂

Loved your opinion. I agree on all of it. Are they saying more on the live feeds about it by any chance? Just wondering the same about Ryan knowing.

Seems like they desperately needed attention.

And Amanda I think has a Janelle like quality. JMO! 🙂

Let us know if you find any more out about the unexpected departure of Neil.
