Hope You Enjoyed THE OFFICE…Sniff Sniff

April 18, 2008 by

Oh cruel, cruel world.  What horrible things have I done in my life to deserve this? Do you not understand my undying love for THE OFFICE?  Do you not understand that it’s killing me that I can’t watch it!!

Yes, friends. I missed last night’s episode of THE OFFICE.  And because I have no self control I of course jumped online and got some spoilers.  And what spoilers they were.  Jim and Pam talking engagement?  James Halpert with a ring?  Are you kidding me?  And I missed all this?  Geesh.

And before you ask, no I can’t watch it online.  Believe me, the realization of that has left me crushed this morning.  Hell, I got up at 6:15am while on vacation just to watch it online. But being out of the country means no video on NBC.com or Hulu.  Again, what a cruel world.

I wish I had something to offer up.  My take on whether or not I think Jim and Pam will take that fateful next step (I worry that it’s all a little too much to soon for Ms. Beesly).  Or for that matter what actually happened in the rest of the episode (you know the non Jim & Pam stuff).  But no such luck.  But that doesn’t mean you all can’t tell me, or talk to me about YOUR thoughts on last night episode.  I can take it.

Ugh and by that I mean, ugh!!!

Judging by her conversations with Jim I would say that Pam is definitely open to the possibility of getting engaged.

It was a seriously classic episode, you MUST watch it as soon as humanly possible.

It will be worth the wait for you to see this one, GMMR, it had it all and then some. Think of it this way… it is always a real downer to come back to reality from a wonderful vacation but you’ll have this episode to come back to. Nuff’ said.

The best part of this for me was that I was unspoiled and so it took me by total surprise. The tough part was that I was alone in my LR and wasn’t online sharing it… are you ever going to revive the BuddyTV gang? We may need it with impending proposals…

you could probably dl it from the office eps LJ community. Unless you can’t do that in Nevis either?? Either way, I’d kinda take being in the West Indies over the States right now. Sooooo jealous; I’d LOVE to be on a beach right now!!! But yeah, last night’s episode was ALL. TIME.

Oh, you missed such a very very good one! It is your #1 item on your to do list immediately upon return. I grinned from ear to ear from the reception desk scene right throough to the end. Awesome fake out! So perfect! And Oscar Meyer Weiner Lover? LMFAO!

Actually I’m going to disagree with Martha. I got a sense of some serious “oh no, is he serious? Waaaay too soon” vibes from Miss Beasley after the engagment banter. I sense trouble ahead…..

Okay so Kath I thought of you last after the third time I replayed and gasped at the end. Then I thought “Ooooh this was not a good one for Kath to be missing”

This episode is an instant favorite for me. So much to love. I was literally screaming and hitting my husband who was laughing at me (not with me). I don’t care if I looked like a total idiot, it was fun and just as great the second time.

This was one of the best episodes yet. I love the episodes that are touching along with funny. Kevin had a heartbreaking moment that almost had me tearing up.

The JAM moments though… Wow… I wouldn’t worry about all the negative Nancy’s out there. Pam is not going to say no. The writers aren’t stupid, first off. Secondly, SHE brought it up and looked kind of surprised (in a good way) that he was being serious.

    She won’t say no.

Know I know that this vacation must be a downer. Vacations are nice until you miss The Office. Because. I swear, I can’t even like, think yet. And its been 14 hours. And I may have seen it twice (three times)

My roommates had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Seriously, check it out on Fanpop… the quality won’t be quite as good, but you need to see this episode! Enjoy the rest of your vaca Kath!

I am such a sap that I was wiping away tears during the Jim talking to the camera scene. I LOVE Jim Halpert and I’m telling you, it was magic. The last scene was the best and I held my breath through the entire thing.

The subplot was actually funny. Kevin got some much needed screen time! Hooray!

Aww man, the fake out at the end was the best part ever and now you can’t experience that 🙁 That’s terrible sad! I was sitting with my mouth open AND smiling all at the same time (very difficult to do) – it was amazing!

It was Awesome Blossom. Extra Awesome. That is all.

ps. Why would any woman say no to a proposal from Mr. James Halpert? She would be a first class idiot. My heart beat twice as fast just watching it…

  17. GMMR on April 18th, 2008 2:16 pm

OMG!! I finally got to see it. A kind reader sent me the link, and WOW…just WOW. I’m disappointed in myself that I went ahead and read the spoilers last night bc had I not known that JAM stuff was coming I would be floored.

Kudos to NBC.com for not faking us out with the ring scene in the promo. I think the writers didn’t let the network know that was coming because they would have def exploited it.

I need to watch it a few more times. But wow!~

    Ok back to the beach!!

I’m still wondering why Creed needs three chairs?

  19. Jo on April 18th, 2008 5:44 pm

I dunno but that Creed line CRACKED me up. I love his randomness.

    1. Pam brought it up.
    2. She’s gotta know he’s crazy about her.
    3. Yes, she did look a bit concerned, but I don’t think she was expecting his rapid fire return.
    4. She was all smiles at the end when he was “tying his shoe”, so I’m thinking she’s ready to yes to being Mrs. Halpert.

  21. JennyL on April 18th, 2008 9:33 pm

Part of the reason that episode was so amazing was that it was such a shocker…no reason to believe that they would take the story that direction, and then BAM! In your face! So, sorry GMMR you didn’t get to experience the jaw dropping surprise. Glad you got to see the episode though, and didn’t have to wait a few more days!

Also – it was my first time in the OT chat room! I didn’t participate until after the show…but I think I’m hooked! (I’m “ilovethursdays”) I’m too obsessed with this show..I had a hard time sleeping last night after all the JAM excitement!! 🙂
