What to Watch…Monday, July 21, 2008

July 21, 2008 by

It’s finally here…Comic Con week. I’m leaving on Wednesday for sunny San Diego and 5 days worth of TV and pop culture mayhem.  It’s going be insanely busy but a lot of fun and I’m going to make the most of it. There’s going to be more and more Comic Con news leading up to my departure on Wednesday, but I just had to say a quick YAY for Comic Con Week.

Now, on to tonight’s TV.  There’s plenty on so I don’t want to hear anyone bitching that they couldn’t find anything to watch on TV.  None of that, you hear?

High School Musical: Get in the Picture | 8pm on ABC
High School Musical: Get in the PicutreMove over Zefron and that trashy Gabrielle girl, the new kids here are here and poised to take over. In tonight’s 2nd episode, Nick Lachey continues his hunt for the next great teen (in a completely legal way of course) who can sing and dance.  The winner of this reality show will be featured in a music video at the end credits of “High School Musical 3”.

American Gladiators | 8pm on NBC
American GladiatorsThe semifinal rounds commence with returning combatants. In the ladies contest, a woman from Dallas takes on a mother of three. In the men’s clash, an Iraq War vet vies with a Missouri man.

Wanna Bet? | 9pm on ABC
Wanna Bet?Celebrities (and I use that term very loosely) wager on ordinary people’s ability to perform wild stunts. The celebs obtain money for charity if they win the bets. Tom Green, Sherri Sheppard, George Takei and Harland Williams are the judges in the opener. Famed British TV personalities, Ant & Dec, are the hosts.

Nashville Star | 9pm on NBC
Nashville Star The country music reality show continues on. I’m not really sure what’s happening tonight but I suppose people will be singing, others will be judging and someone will be going home, right?

The Closer | 9pm on TNT
MeeVee Recommends“Speed Bump”
A convicted killer out on parole is killed in a hit and run, and Brenda investigates if it was merely an accident or someone seeking revenge, while at home she deals with Fritz after he is laid up with an injured back.

Saving Grace | 10pm on TNT
Saving Grace, Holly Hunter“A Survivor Lives Here”
Grace learns a young man who also lost a member of his family to the Murrah Federal building bombing has suddenly gone missing, and she goes on a search for him; Ham enjoys more alone time with Grace when he leaves his wife.

The Mole | 10pm on ABC
The MoleThe next mission tests the memory of the five remaining contestants, who are also reunited with loved ones from home. Good gracious, do we actually get to meet the woman who agreed to marry Paul?  She has to be equally annoying or a saint.

Weeds | 10pm on Showtime
Weeds Pick“Excellent Treasures”
Nancy finds herself in more trouble when she discovers something she was never meant to see in the tunnel behind the maternity shop; when Dean takes a new job, Isabel moves in with Celia; Doug and Silas flirt with two new women.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl | 10:30pm on Showtime
Secret Diary of a Call Girl Belle’s agent reads a scathing review to the girls from the Internet during a staff meeting, leading Belle to re-think her place in the business, but after spending the night with a particularly nice man who plans to stay, she reconsiders.

What will YOU be watching tonight?

The Comi Con! I’m jealous! Good luck on your trip and keep us posted! Five days of awesomeness! That sounds just as good as the four day trip sweepstakes to the Grand Prix of Sonoma, which I also can’t attend since I work for Motorola, but hey if anyone wants to try their luck check out http://www.motodancia.com Keep us posted on the latest at Comic Con though!

Tonight on Nashville Star the 5 that are left are singing songs that they wrote/co-wrote so it should be pretty interesting to see how they do!
