Watch PUSHING DAISIES or Risk Going to Hell

October 15, 2008 by

Pushing Daisies, Lee Pace, Bad Habits

Watching PUSHING DAISIES won’t jeopardize your standing with the church (at least not that we know of), nor will it ensure you a place in heaven (no matter what the title of this post may imply), but ‘excommunication’ was on creator Bryan Fuller’s mind when he was asked to comment on Lee Pace strutting around in a priest’s outfit during tonight’s episode, “Bad Habits” which airs at 8pm on ABC.

I’ve seen the episode and Lee Pace dressed as a priest, and let me just say that I’m going to go ahead and agree with Bryan that “it’s a recipe for excommunication”.  Dayum –  if my priests looked like that I might start going to church more (insert Catholic priest joke here…ha ha).

With the last Presidential Debate beginning at 9pm, why not start off the evening with a little fun. Maybe a forensic fairytale? Yes, this is my weekly plea for you all to tune into PUSHING DAISIES tonight at 8pm on ABC.

Come on people, we need some viewers here. What do I need to do? For the love of Lee Pace just watch already.

I cried real tears (of laughter that is) while watching tonight’s episode which is laugh out loud (piss of my neighbors) funny.  Tonight Chuck, Emerson and Ned go undercover as a Catholic nun and priests and pass themselves off as investigators from the Vatican to help Olive prove that her best pal at the nunnery (Mo Collins as Sister Larue) didn’t kill herself, but was actually murdered.

The legendary Collins is just fantastic (see above with the tears and the pissing off neighbors), and the whole ensemble comes together for what’s sure to be a instant fan favorite episode.  Don’t you want to be one of those fans? Dontcha?  You should watch…all the cool kids are doing it!

As always, we’ll be talking about tonight’s episode over at ThePieMaker.com.  Discuss Pushing Daisies: Bad Habits here.

This show is such a bright spot in my week. But I want Olive to come home.

Agreed, I would love it if Olive came back, she’s such a great part of the show. And I kind of want a relationship between Ned and Olive 😀

How bad were the ratings for last week’s ep?

Ned in the preist outfit reminds me of a REALLY good looking young preist that used to be at my parish. So good looking that he ended up knocking some chick up. Not kidding. Sigh.

Of course I’ll be watching! Looking forward to it.

But I’ve noticed that there haven’t been any episode recaps for the show … is there a reason for that?

Can’t WAIT for this episode! Mo Collins was my favourite player on MadTV … you know, back when it was good. I’ll be sure to remind my un-sound-proof-apartment neighbours that it’s Wednesday, and that they’d better be prepared for shrieking, crying, and giggling out loud. Let’s hope yours and Ducky’s threats have worked and lots and lots of people tune in!!

I live in Colorado!!! They are not playing Pushing Daisies tonight, because the debate starts at 7pm here! AAAHHH!!!! You are the one who convinced me to start watching Pushing Daisies and I love it! Thank You! I figured if anyone loved the Office and as much as I did, I should trust their opinion!

Pushing Daisies is airing at 9:00 p.m. throughout the Mountain Time Zone, including in Colorado. The Mountain Time Zone is the only one where this is true. I live in Boulder. The Denver ABC affiliate is airing the episode at 9:00 p.m. It’s also airing after the debate in the Pacific Time Zone (at 8:00 p.m. PDT), but that is the regular time there. ONLY the Mountain Time Zone has this time displacement, but everyone in the time zone can watch it at 9:00 p.m. ABC is not airing anything else tonight besides the debate in any time zone. In the Pacific Time Zone, the local news that is displaced by the debate will air after Pushing Daisies at 9:00 PDT.

Love it, love it, LOVE IT. How can we find a list of all the show’s current sponsors? I’d like to write them and encourage them to continue supporting this great show.

This episode had to have been one of my favorite episodes of the series! It was hilarious!! I love this show too much and it makes me sad that more people don’t watch it and support it. Please, people, watch Pushing Daisies!

I couldn’t watch it live because I was at church. I DVRed it and bought it on iTunes. Am I still going to Hell? (I sound like Butters from South Park.)

Am I the only person in the world who noticed that Mike T. Nelson came down from the Satellite of Love to play Olive’s dad?

Hi! I just wanted to ask in the event you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no backup. Do you might have any solutions to protect against hackers?
