Are You a Fan of PRIVILEGED?

November 11, 2008 by

cast of PRIVILEGED

I’m going to be hitting the set of PRIVILEGED tomorrow to check out the behind-the-scenes action and get the inside scoop.  As you all know, I’m a big fan of the show so I’m sure it will be a blast.

In addition to talking to Executive Producer Rina Mimoun, I’m told that series stars JoAnna Garcia (Megan), Brian Hallisay (Will) and Ashley Newbrough (Sage) will be on set filming.  (I’m still crossing my fingers that Michael Cassidy (Charlie) will be hanging around on set too.)

If you have any questions for the PRIVILEGED folks be sure to leave a comment below today.  And please leave your name and hometown as I’m going to try to get as many of YOUR questions answered as I can.

Will you tell Rina I love her? 😉

Ok, seriously though, I am curious about the music on the show. I like it and am curious if that’s a Rina influence or if it’s more the music supervisor she hired.

Also curious to know if they actually filmed some of the shots from the pilot in West Palm or if it’s all been filmed in LA. (In general it doesn’t really seem to matter but there are some shots – like that of Megan pulling up to the house in the pilot – that do look very Florida like.)

    I’m sure I have more… I’ll post when I think of ’em.

I was curious about who’s responsible for the fashion on the show, and what they’re they’re trying to say about each of the characters? I thought it was especially cool that they had the “Rock the Vote” t-shirt in a recent episode.

Also, when are we going to meet Marco’s boyfriend?

Besides Sarah Drew, any chance of other Everwood alum guest starring? Gregory Smith, hint hint! 😉

I saw that Privileged is listed as one of the top 20 shows in the dvr playback rankings. Do the networks take that into consideration when deciding to pick up a show?

    (Here’s the info on that.
    “-Time Shifted Viewing:
Based on the first four weeks of the 2008-09 season (Sept. 22 – Oct. 19, 2008), what follows are the top 20 prime-time series based on percent of audience due to DVR Playback for total viewers. Keep in mind that time shifted programming at present accounts for approximately 11 percent of national ratings for the five broadcast networks in prime-time.

The Office (NBC): 28 percent; Heroes (NBC): 27 percent; 90210 (CW): 26 percent; Fringe (Fox): 25 percent; House (Fox) and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Fox): 22 percent each; Grey’s Anatomy (ABC), Prison Break (Fox) and Private Practice (ABC): 21 percent each; Chuck (NBC), Smallville (CW) and Supernatural (CW): 20 percent each; America’s Next Top Model (CW), Bones (Fox), Gossip Girl (CW), Lipstick Jungle (NBC) and One Tree Hill (CW): 19 percent each; Life (NBC) and Privileged (CW): 18 percent each.)

    Yep … love the show!

And I know it won’t happen anytime soon, but I really hope that Megan & Charlie do eventually get together.

Oh I have nothing to add, but I love the show, and can’t wait to hear about your visit to the set. I’ve become newly enamored with Charlie through this show – I loved him as Zack on the O.C. but it seemed very cougar-like to be into him. Now him being in his 20’s makes it seem ok 🙂
    Have a blast!

Awesome! This is one of the Nice Girls’ favorite shows; can’t wait to read about your set visit. My question: will Laurel become more of a presence on the show as the series progresses? I love Anne Archer in the role and am intrigued by the layers we’re starting to see in her character and her relationship with the twins. Question 2: Just how much impact will the fact that the twins’ are not biological Limoges granddaughters have?

In case you run into Michael Cassidy, I would like to know if he pays attention to what is said about him or the show in magazines and if he sometimes surf the web to see what fans think about him ! And maybe you’ll get to drop off the url of my fansite 🙂 Thanks !

So jealous of you!! Have an amazing time while you’re there. I do have a question for Joanna Garcia:

I get the feeling watching the show that she’s really enthusiastic about the show and her role in particular – it seems very personal to her and close to heart. From reading interviews it also seems that she’s really proud of the messages that the show manages to get across in terms of young women and self-respect. I get the feeling that this aspect of the show is what drew her to the project, in part at least. I love that the show makes an effort to counter the current trend of girls on tv as sex objects and airheads. How much input does she have with this aspect of the show and did it play a role in her decision to star in this particular project?

Have a great time on set!! And try to get deets on Marco’s bf!

Can you ask Jo to say something in spanish? I know she’s fluent but I’ve never heard her speak it!
Also does she think there will be a Reba reunion in the future?

    For Jo…

If the show does get picked up for a second season, or even if it doesn’t, where would you like to see Megan end up? What would you like to see her doing and with whom would you like her to be?

    For Anyone…

As a huge fan of this show, I want to know what I can do to help support it and keep it on the air. Absolutely anything!

I just came accross your site and I want to know how it went? 🙂
