FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS Season 2 Premiere (Watch Here)

December 18, 2008 by

Alright FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS fans, settle in because HBO has a special treat for you – the season 2 premiere!!  I’m talking right now, right here.  I’m not kidding, you can watch it immediately (well immediately if you are in the U.S. Don’t blame me Canadians – you have free healthcare, we have embedded videos. I think you win…maybe.)

Seriously go ahead…I’ll wait.

This is the part where you convince me that it’s worth my time to go back and watch FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS from the beginning. I have Season One on DVD (thank you HBO) but I haven’t yet watched it. Do you think I’ll like it? Why?

Thanks to Philiana for the heads up.

Oh my goodness, you just made my day!

Have you not watched season one at all? Seriously? That’s craziness—this show is amazing. It may be an acquired taste, but to me, it is perfect. I list it right up there with Arrested Development.

If you only have time to watch one episode (which will hopefully convince you to watch the rest of them), check out “Girlfriends” … Foux Du Fafa should at least make you smile.

    Thanks for the video!

Flight is a strange show- up there with the Office (early seasons) and Pushing Daisies and Arrested Development. Well, not LIKE those shows, but awesome in it’s oddness.

You really have to watch season one. Spectacular.

I wouldn’t start with girlfriends. My fav ep is “Sally return” but actually the pilot is a very strong episode.
It has a dry sense of humor, that may be somewhat comparable to shows like Office, but isn’t exactly the same as anything I can think of. Plus there are songs. I would recommend watching the pilot over the upcoming TV break, and seeing if you find it funny.

You have to give it a shot. I love the show (and as a Canadian I’m super frustrated that we can’t watch the season 2 premiere online!!! Grrrrrr…..I hate those windows taunting me with “This video is not available in your region”).

It’s very deadpan, a la Arrested Development, and the cast is fantastic. Definitely watch a couple of episodes before deciding one way or the other, but I’m pretty confident that you will appreciate it.

And to those who are fans of the show, another one to try if you haven’t seen it yet is Summer Heights High. We’re just getting it on HBO in Canada now and it’s making my life. It’s an Australian mockumentary about high school and it’s brilliant!!

It is fabulous! My favorite episode is “Mugged.” Plus Jemaine is really hot 🙂

Oh, you’re missing out! Definitely start from the beginning. This show is hilarious.

Nicole- We have Summer Heights High DVRd. We’ve gotten through a few episodes and it’s pretty dang funny. I like Ja’mie. LOL

All my friends who love The Office also love this show, so I think you’ll love it, too. The first episode is a good starting point, but my absolute favorite episode is Drive By. Leggy Blonde, the racist fruit seller, plus the flipping the bird montage makes me really happy every time.

Woo hoo! Last season’s finale is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. I’m so, so glad this is coming back. (I might have missed Murray most of all.)

You’ll like it because you have a quirky sense of humor, respect originality and have excellent taste in men. Stop waiting and get to watching season one!

One more thing: my favorite season one episodes are Bowie and Yoko.
