Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Friday, January 9, 2009

January 9, 2009 by

With the exception of the winter season premiere of PYSCH, I can’t say that I’m excited about Friday night TV.  As we’ve discussed that’s all going to change next week, but for now here’s a few of the shows that are yours for the taking tomorrow night.

Flashpoint | 9pm on CBS
“Eagle Two”
The SRU works security for a billionaire and his wife when the wife is kidnapped by a man posing as a journalist. The man and his accomplices don’t want a cash ransom. They want her husband to admit to criminal activity, including murder, in his business dealings in South America before they will release her.

Monk | 9pm on USA
“Mr. Monk and the Other Brother”
When Monk’s delinquent half-brother, Jack Jr., escapes from prison and breaks into Monk’s apartment, he manipulates Monk into helping him find the person he claims framed him for murder.

Psych | 10pm on USA

“Six Feet Under the Sea”
In the winter season premiere, Shawn and Gus find a new and unusual client. When Shabby the Sea Lion is found dead after being released into the wild, Shawn sets out to prove it was murder and stumbles onto a bigger conspiracy.

NUMB3RS | 10pm on CBS
“Arrow of Time”
Don turns to his newly found religious beliefs when he is forced to deal with an escaped criminal who is bent on seeking revenge.

Also playing…

  • Wife Swap | 8pm on ABC: A traditional mother from a competitive family trades places with a feminist doctor who works 100 hours a week and spends her free time participating in roller derbys.
  • Howdie Do It | 8pm on NBC: A singing telegram at a funeral; a dating show gone wrong; an inept waiter.
  • Ghost Whisperer | 8pm on ABC: Melinda helps a family in turmoil after an accident; Delia experiences her first haunting.
  • Lipstick Jungle | 9pm on NBC: Wendy makes a bold move at work but finds herself struggling as a single parent; Dahlia (Rosie Perez) lands Nico an appearance on the “Today Show”; Victory tries to see that her parents and Joe get along.
  • Supernanny | 9pm on ABC: Jo comes to the aid of a Wisconsin couple overwhelmed by rambunctious 4-year-old twin boys and a toddler daughter who is beginning to mimic her brothers’ aggression.

Is Lipstick Jungle all done soon? I like it and heard it was over and done but seems like a lot of eps for a cancelled show.
