BRIEF INTERVIEWS WITH HIDEOUS MEN – Trailer

January 16, 2009 by

Updated: A brand new, official trailer has just been released. Check it out:

Here’s a FIRST look at BRIEF INTERVIEWS WITH HIDEOUS MEN, the new movie written and directed by John Krasinski. I’m not sure if the following qualifies as a trailer or a set of scenes, but it’s definitely the first I’ve seen of the movie.

The movie premieres at Sundance this week. I’m nervous and excited for John and wish him nothing but the best!

So excited to be able to share this!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I knew you would be all over this GMMR. I’m excited for John too. A few of my friends are going to the premiere. If there are any pics can I share them with GMMR?

Is Rashida Jones in this movie too? That girl is hot. I like Jim. I hope this movie is good.

Sam – If you have pics from the premiere or any other info you can pass on from your friends I would be very happy to post it.

Smitty – Yes, Rashida Jones is in this movie. I believe she plays Hannah.

Having read “Brief Interviews” I’m still intrigued as how John is going to put it all together. The clip has the absolute feel of the book, but I can’t imagine the narrative of the movie will play out like the clip above.

    Yay for Josh Charles!!

So excited to finally see something about the movie! It’s been a long time coming! (TWSS) Good luck John! Everybody is going to know how talented he is now. GMMR – hope you post more stuff about it over the next week!

I’m just on pins and needles waiting for this film. I really hope he gets a wide release! Well, I’d be happy with a dvd too. 🙂

    Good Luck at Sundance John!!!

I read the book as well and am VERY curious to how he turned it into a narrative storyline that has some semblance of a plot. Thanks for the snippet, I’ve been waiting forever for this thing to finally come out!

I read the book too. I think I’ll wait for the movie before reading it again!! LOL

Before this blog of mine came along I was a pretty avid reader. But I’ll tell ya, I really struggled with this book. It’s not an easy read. I enjoyed the “interviews” so I’m glad that’s what John is going to be focusing on.

According to something I read (perhaps at The Envelope) I can’t remember. The part that John plays in the film is said to be the most emotional of all the “interviews”. I can’t think off hand as to what it might be. Any thoughts?

I’m so intrigued and I like that actor (sorry too early to look up the Sports Night guy). I am all fingers crossed for john.

So I have a six degree thing with John – my brother’s best friends live in Wellesley (next town over from Newton, Jkras’ hometown) and their GP is John’s dad and they are always talking about The Office and how John is doing.

I just heard that John plays Interview 20, Sara’s boyfriend, about why they break up. Man, I can’t wait for this film. I seriously have been waiting for it for years (or at least, it feels like it), and everything I’ve heard has been so amazing.
I just hope it does as well as I hope it will!
