What Was Your Favorite Super Bowl Commercial?
February 2, 2009 by Kath Skerry
Despite being a completely enthralling game (especially in the 4th quarter), I couldn’t muster the interest in a Super Bowl that didn’t feature my Patriots. So Super Bowl Sunday for me was all about the commercials. But were they any good?
I can’t say I was blown away by any of them. There were a few LOL moments but in general I thought they were a little lackluster. And seriously…not that I’m a big Budweiser drinker to begin with, but I may have become anti Bud after ALL their commercials. Those horses were become quite annoying after the 5,000th commercial.
Personally I enjoyed the NBC promos more than any of the commercials.
Check out the Super Bowl commercials and tell us what ones were YOUR favorites!
A few of my favorites after the jump…
Heroes Football
E Trade: Talking Babies
Alec Baldwin in Huluwood

The NBC musical promo was great. Chuck needs a musical episode!
The Hulu spot was my fave. Alec Baldwin is a national treasure.
The “LMAO” commercial had us, well, LOAO . And the Denny’s Thugs…every time they were interrupted by the whipped cream we laughed. And I loved E-Trade’s baby’s singing friend. My daughter liked the Pepsi Max I’m Good. Alec Baldwin can do no wrong. But hated Pepsuber!
Speaking of NBC promos, how was there not ONE promo for FNL? Throw some football scenes and tyra/lyla up there and you’ve got to have at least a couple football watching guys checking the show out, right?
I liked the NBC ads (and I dont’ even watch many of thier shows!) and the Hulu ad with Alec Baldwin. He is so very funny!
The Heroes football one was definitely my fav (I am a fan of the series, however; not sure how that commercial would translate for those who dont watch). I absolutely hate talking baby commercials. Theyve been done to death ten years ago.
