Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Tuesday, February 10, 2009

February 10, 2009 by

Usually Monday is such a full night of TV that I’m looking for a little break on Tuesday.  But last night’s Presidential address through everything off and left me with little TV to watch.  So I’m totally ready for a little self indulgent TV viewing tonight.  Bring it on!

Here’s a little of what I’ll be watching…what about YOU?!

American Idol | 8pm on Fox
Hollywood Round 3
Singers compete in the third week of the Hollywood Round in hope of becoming a semifinalist. [GMMR: IDOL is pissing me off. There is so much talent in Hollywood yet they are still focusing on the freak shows.  If we see that Tatiana girl again tonight I might have to turn the channel.  Enough – let’s get to the talent, please.]

Scrubs | 9pm on ABC
My Absence
J.D. takes a short break from work at the hospital; Carla and Turk share big news.
9:30pm | “My Comedy Show”
The new interns are asked to perform in J.D. and Turk’s historically humorless annual sketch show.

Privileged | 9pm on The CW
All About Betrayal
Megan is thrilled to hear that Will’s father is starting a new magazine based on her and Will’s idea; Marco discovers that Keith is involved with his longtime friend Jennifer; Sage reveals a secret that changes her relationship with Rose.

Fringe | 9pm on Fox
“Ability”

German agents ask Olivia about her relationship with David Robert Jones; the team investigate a case where victims die after their orifices suddenly close.

The Mentalist | 9pm on CBS
Crimson Casanova
Patrick helps Cho go under cover as a ladies man in an attempt to catch a killer with his own set of pseudo-mentalist techniques. [GMMR: What’s up with the scheduling of this show?  Eps have aired on Tuesday, Sunday, Friday…what the hell CBS?]

Nip/Tuck | 10m on FX
“Manny Skerritt”

Sean’s hiring of a new anesthesiologist leads to trouble; Kimber goes to extreme measures to make sure Jenna has a good life.

Also playing…

  • NCIS | 8pm on CBS: Demons of the past come back to haunt Gibbs when he finds a cryptic message waiting for him at a crime scene.
  • 90210 | 8pm on The CW: Naomi is taken by Liam, a hot bartender at her hotel; Silver gets upset when her surprise Valentine’s Day dinner for Dixon does not go as planned; Annie grows increasingly jealous of Ethan and Rhonda’s close connection.
  • The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC: The winner of a balancing challenge wins a 24-hour visit from someone back home; one player is sent home following a grueling test of endurance.
  • Without a Trace | 10pm on CBS: The team searches for an abducted man who has been faking his identity for many years.
  • Leverage | 10pm on TNT: One of Parker’s aliases is chosen for jury duty; the team tries to stop someone from buying a favorable verdict in the trial.

GMMR’s Useless Tidbit of the Day…

In1898 (fourteen years prior to the Titanic tragedy), Morgan Robertson wrote a novel called Futility. The plot of the novel turned on the largest ship ever built hitting an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean on a cold April night.”
