Conan Bids Adieu to LATE NIGHT but not Late Night

February 20, 2009 by

After 16 years Conan O’Brien is saying goodbye to LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O’BRIEN but not to late night.  The Brookline, MA native (sorry had to get that in there) will be taking over the reigns for Jay Leno as the host of THE TONIGHT SHOW.

Unless there’s a particular guest I’m interested in seeing, I’ve never been one to stay up and watch the late night talk shows.  That being said, when I’m lucky enough to stumble on to CONAN I always have a good laugh.

I just wanted to put up a quick post to remind you all to set your DVR for tonight as it’s Conan’s last show as the host of LATE NIGHT.  Conan will take over as host of THE TONIGHT SHOW on June 1st.  Jimmy Fallon will take over for Conan as the host of LATE NIGHT on March 2nd.  Got it?

Here’s a great blooper reel that Conan aired two days ago that was pretty damn funny.  Enjoy! And be sure to tune in tonight.

Any favorite LATE NIGHT memories that really stand out?

I think it is great that he is hosting the tonite show. I hope he isn’t stupid and make fun of Jesus because there are a lot of decent God-fearing people in this country and he will lose a good audience if he does. I am looking forward to watching him, I think he is the perfect choice 🙂

Because they watch his show in Finland he found out he looked like the president of Finland (who was a woman) he made this big deal about it. Then when she was up for re-election he actually went to Finland and campaigned for her. That whole segment was so funny. In Finland he is a huge rockstar.

Funny video – and the last episode Friday was great! Nice touch to have Andy back…and I really enjoyed seeing the 1864 (?) baseball again – hilarious! Very touching at the end with his thank you’s, and he got all emotional!! Can’t wait to see the new show. But, the White Stripes? WTF?? I thought they were brutal.
