Oh, yeah! I love me some Reaper.

This is definitely an underrated show, and am thankful it’s not on one of the big three/four networks, because it would never have had a chance.

While they have their show’s “formula” format down, I hope they figure out a way to stop relying on it so heavily. I love the characters and hope they have a chance to grow and expand.

    Love the quirkiness…

Agreed! It’s a really underrated show – I laugh during every episode. The three lead characters, Sam, Benny and Sock have awesome chemistry together. Plus, Sock is all kinds of funny all by himself.

The show *does* have a formula that I also would like to see them get away from a bit (soul, vessel, fight, capture, Gladys) but they’ve really expanded the world of the characters a lot and I think it’s only going to get better. And Lisa I agree – if this show had been on one of the big networks, we’d have said goodbye already. Hopefully it gets a real chance on the CW.

Now, if Ken Marino and Michael Ian Black became full time cast members, it would be perfection. Looking forward to tonight. It’s funny, people!! Give it a chance!

Ditto to everything above, I’ll just add two more things I love about Reaper. The first is the music. The show has smartly followed the example of Supernatural and not used the CW teen drama music formula. Instead they use awesome 70s and 80s rock that fits the tone of the show so well.

And, thank you, Nicole, for mentioning Gladys. She doesn’t have a huge role in the show, but if you were a fan of Delores Herbig (as in her big brown eyes) in Dead Like Me, the show is worth checking out.

I really loved that the show had started to get less formulaic in the last half of the first season, but according to what I’ve read, it’s back to focusing mainly on the “baddie of the week.”

We found Reaper by accident and love it. I loved the basic plot outline K.I.S.S. I say. But it seemed to me that they were opening it up there at the end with a great revelation in the story line. Like his parents and girlfriend the daughter of satan. Now I’m heading off to make sure my new TIVO has it in season pass. I would love to hear what you have to say.

I’m so glad Reaper is back. I laughed out loud multiple times during last night’s episode. Sam, Sock, Benny, I missed you, and I’m glad you’re back!
