George Clooney Returns to ER - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

George Clooney Returns to ER

March 13, 2009 by

In case you missed it, George Clooney returned to ER last night. Dr. Doug Ross is now happily married to Nurse Carol Hathaway and together they are working in a hospital in Seattle. It was nice to see the two of the reunited last night, but there was another reunion that made me even happier – that of Dr. John Carter (Noah Wyle) and Dr. Peter Benton (Eriq LaSale).  The surgeon and his former mentee always had an amazing relationship and a strong bond, and all that was present in the scenes they shared in last night’s episode.

As somsone who watched the show religiously back in its early days, and not so much since then, it was nice to turn on the TV and see some familiar faces.

If you missed it, here’s a scene with Benton and Carter, and then all the Clooney you can handle this time of day.

More Clooney highlights after the jump…

Did you watch last night? Are you a normal viewer or did you turn in for George Clooney? Was it a good use of a cameo?

I missed it last night but I just watched all the clips here. So good to see him in scrubs again! I think they used him well (And J.M., too!) Susan Sarandon was fabulous as well (no surprise there…). Looks like I missed a great episode!

I watched last night for the first time in a long time, and I’ll admit I teared up more than once. It was so nice to see the Drs. I grew up watching back on screen.

I loved seeing Doug and Carol together again. Their storyline with Susan Sarandon (who did an amazing job.) was just heartbreaking. I was hoping we’d see them outside of the hospital, and the ending did not disappoint. Yes that was one part that made me tear up.

The Benton/Carter story was so touching. I loved seeing Dr. Benton there for his friend and mentee. The OR scene where Benton was going down the check list was great. He was going to make sure everything and everyone was ready. Nothing was going to happen to his friend.

I, too, found it comforting to see the old faces. I have not watched the show in the past 5 years. Seeing that episode last night made me think about how much my own life has changed in 10 years.
