Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Goooood morning from sunny California.  Ok perhaps it’s not yet sunny as it’s only 7am here, but I can feel the sunshine just ready to bust out.

I made it here safely last night after a mostly pleasant flight.  I was bummed to find out that Virgin America doesn’t carry any of the major networks, but thrilled when I discovered his-speed WiFi! Being online for the whole flight made it fly by. Still I would have liked to watch some Monday night TV…oh well.  Rae from RamblingsofaTVWhore.com bought a cable to hook up her laptop to the flat screen in our room so hopefully we can at least get caught up on CHUCK this morning. Fingers crossed we can get it working.

I was only on the ground about 2 hours when I had my first celebrity sighting – Adrian Grenier from ENTOURAGE.  Vincent Chase FTW!

Tonight is the first night of my Paley adventure and we are starting things off with the panel I’m most looking forward to – DR. HORRIBLE’S SING ALONG BLOG.  I’m so excited.  Hope to see some of you there!

The wireless in our hotel room is horrible, so right now I’m in the hotel’s business center (in my Flonkerton tee-Pj’s none the less). I’ll try to get updated a little earlier than this during the week, but I can’t promise I won’t sleep in.

American Idol | 8pm on Fox
Director Quentin Tarantino guides contestants in their performances of songs of the cinema. [GMMR: This should be interesting.  If I remember correctly from his last judging stint, Tarantino doesn’t hold back.  I can see him totally loving Adam.  I guess we’ll see soon enough.]

Reaper | 8pm on The CW
“The Good Soil“
The Devil orders Sam and Morgan to spend time together, but Morgan bails when it’s time to capture a soul. Meanwhile, Nina tries to take Ben flying, but his fear of heights gets in the way.

The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC
“Tim Gunn”
Tim Gunn helps the contestants look their best after they receive complete makeovers; one contestant is sidelined with an injury [GMMR: Make it work.]

Fringe | 9pm on Fox
“Unleashed”
An animal-rights organization’s rescue mission at a laboratory backfires when it releases a vicious beast, almost mythological in appearance with a lion’s body and eagle’s talons, and Charlie is in danger of being its latest victim. [GMMR: I need to have a major, major FRINGE marathon. Sadly I don’t think it’s going to be this week. I missed an episode and then it’s snowballed into this hot mess. I must get caught up.]

Cupid | 10pm on ABC
“The Great Right Hope”
A teenager asks Trevor to set his mother up with his boxing instructor; Claire’s mother moves in with her after breaking up with her latest boyfriend.

My Boys | 10:30pm on TBS
“The Boyfriend Hat”
When P.J. gets her own column in the paper, the guys tease her that she got the promotion because of her looks; Andy gives Bobby much-needed advice about women [GMMR: I’ve got to go see if I can watch MY BOYS online. I’ve never had to before. Fingers crossed.]

• 90210 | 9pm on The CW: Kelly and Silver get an unexpected visit from Donna Martin (Tori Spelling); Dixon and Annie go on a road trip. [GMMR: Donna Martin graduates! Donna Martin graduates! If any of you tweeners don’t know that reference then you have some serious TV history to catch up on.]

• Without a Trace | 10pm on CBS: The team looks for the son of a billionaire who disappears after his plane crashes.
