Who Went Home on American Idol?

April 15, 2009 by

Sorry for the randomness of this post but I’m in LA and unable to watch IDOL live tonight. But I have peeps on the ground filling me in on IDOL.

So coming at you from my iPhone from the DOLLHOUSE panel at paley here’s what (I heard happened tonight).

America voted MATT GiRAUD out of the competition. NOOO!! Luckily the judges used their save and Matt is sticking around another week. Whew!

Talk to me. Fill me in on what happened in the episode. I’m dying!!

This is what I thought would happen with the save, just not quite so early. What is it with Lil that keeps her around? Crazy!

I totally think they used their save because the producers would have been upset if they didn’t use it at all this season — they keep making such a big deal about the “judges’ save” — I think that the judges really didn’t care to save Matt, they just wanted to use the save and figured tonight was as good as any, since it didn’t seem like any of the really good people were going to get prematurely voted off.

    Just my opinion!

I could have sworn it was time for Anoop to be gone but no! Not sure how I feel about the save being used this early and it didn’t feel that it was unanimous or truly warranted. Lil should count her lucky stars. Disco Week should be interesting to say the least

This was the next to last week to do a save so i think it was a calculated move on their part. Matt is a bit of a fan fave even though he didn’t draw the votes so it made the crowd happy and they off two next week. I don’t think there’s much chance of a front runner getting voted off and they know the stats, and wanted the drama. I think it was a good move. Also surprised Anoop is hanging in, he did well but he is annoying me. I wish they had 2 numbers each – one to keep and one that would decriment their count.

I think the save was well done by the judges; first next week would have been their last chance to save anyway. Two they didn’t have to be the bad guys by letting Lil go after she spoke her mind. (If Lil had been on the bottom they would have let her go, guaranteed.) Third, they will let America decide which two of the bottom dwellers will go next week. Its probably obvious to them by next week they won’t need a save for their favorites.

That bollywood comment was a little over the top….a week ago I would have agreed that anoop should go…but I really enjoyed his performance this week…Kris on the other hand is driving me nuts…he’s soft {&+} weak {&+} so is his voice….every week I forget he’s on the show until I see him…

They should have kept Scott. It was Paula’s fault that he tried something new and lost some of his fan base. They should kick her off instead.
