Could Kris Allen Win AMERICAN IDOL?

Live in la la land with me for a moment would you? If (and that’s a very big if) Kris Allen makes it through to next week’s AMERICAN IDOL finale, there is a chance he could win it all. I know I’m talking crazy, but hear me out.
For the sake of this discussion let’s assume that Adam Lambert makes it through to next week. Everyone expects him to and it’s most likely going to happen. That means he’ll be going up against Kris or Danny. Which means the votes for one of those two guys are potentially up for grabs.
We know that Danny Gokey has a large and passionate fanbase, and we have to assume that at least some of his fans are passionate about IDOL and will vote in the finale even if their favorite guy doesn’t make it through. The question is, would Gokey voters pick up the phone for Adam or for Kris? My gut is telling me that the majority would be for Kris. If that is the case, it’s in the realm of possibility that if it came down to Adam and his fans versus Kris and his fans (plus some of Danny’s), that Kris Allen could be the next AMERICAN IDOL.
Talk to me. Am I crazy or could The Gokey fans be the deciding factor if in fact Danny doesn’t make it through tonight? Just thought I’d throw it out there.

Adam is a love him or hate him type of guy. And while he is crazy talented, not everone out there is going to get him. I totally think Kris has a shot. But please, oh please, let’s get rid of Gokey first!!

I’m all for Adam winning, but I would love to see Kris in the finale. Kris is one of my favorites. I have loved him since, “Man in the Mirror”. I’m really hoping for a Kris/Adam finale. I am so done with Danny.
I agree! I know alot of people who think Adam is amazing but are voting for Danny or Kris because they like their types of music better. So it really could all be a big guessing game as to who really is going to win this season.
I totally agree! I love love Kris and I wish he would win. I’ve said this a lot to my friends how Adam is good, he’s actually i think too good for the competition. Since Adam is basically a lock to win, no one else (ahem, Kris) has a chance to win. If Kris was in like last season, he probably could have won. I love Kris soo much and I just bought both his songs on itunes haha.
Kris is by FAR my favorite and I think in real world, he’ll come out with a better album, but I think Adam is going to take this. They almost NEED him to take this and I’m okay with that. Cause it’ll put less pressure on Kris after and when his album ROCKS, it’ll be a big HA HA after.
That being said, I think after last night, I noticed Kris gain a lot of new fans from both sides (Danny and Adam fans) so your theory is totally plausible.
Oh I hope you’re right. How crazy would it be for Kris to win after getting no exposure before the semifinals and getting lukewarm praise from the judges? It would be AMAZING. I love that this is even a possibility now.
Okay, I may be crazy in thinking this but here goes….I honestly feel like out of the 3, Danny would need to win more. I think he needs American Idol to go far. Adam, Adam could walk away from it now and be booked right away. Kris, Kris has become my favorite. What worries me about him winning is that he wouldn’t be able to have the creative freedom being the winner. He has some mad skills and what worries me is if he did win, he wouldn’t be able to do what he does. Does that make sense? I do think, however, because Danny & Adam are at two different ends of the spectrum that Danny’s fan would navigate to Kris. With all that being said, I’m rooting for Kris!!!

i totally agree.
everyone it seems that i know is all for adam. just cuz hes hott or has rad “rocker” skills. for cryin out loud people, the guys GAY! i’m not prejuduce, but i for one dont like his way of singing. it has no soul. some..or should i say most..of his performances have given an evil and demonic impression.
i have been rooting for kris since day one. his acoustic tallent and amazing soulful voice has totally got me. i love all his songs…
i totally think danny needs to go home. i dont know why hes still here. the judges say he has some of the best vocals of the group… i just dont see how that raspy voice could be appealing to anyone.

Danny should go home. Kris and Adam for the finals. I totally love Kris but I think Adam will win. It is Kris who will sell more records ‘though, he can even write his own songs just like Chris Daughtry. Can’t wait ’til his first CD, it will be perfect to listen to while driving or just hangin’ out with my friends. Like I always tell my mom, I can listen to Kris’ music over and over again and never get tired of him. All the best for Kris!
well im sorry but my vote is goin to Adam….i just dont think kris has it….
its about vocals….not omg kris is cute and all this yadda yadda…..i find kris boring…now yea danny had a different crowd of ppl but i think he would put on a good show and make great songs….and well as for Adam i know for sure i wouldnt fall asleep at one of his concerts….lol….so Good Luck Adam….but then if u dont win u’ll still go big….so then Kris may need the win….

Deep down I’ve always felt Kris Allen should be crowned americal idol. He is ever so humble and at the same time natural, no efforts put in at all in wanting to shine, simply so at ease just to watch him sing. As for Adam, after a while, we kind of got used to his style. So its either you like or dont like him and hes more of a performer. Its interesting only if you literally watch him perform on stage but over the air, I doubt his vocals could be as good as Kris, whos not only good to watch but one who sings from his heart, not too dramatic, simply sings out his heart. Thats my kind of idol. Kris, the good Lord bless and keep you for you are indeed Jesus’s beloved amen. 🙂
Kris by far is the best. I could never just sit and listen to Alan’s music much less look and him and watch him perform. Kris has true muscial talent-Adam is a performer. I saw on the net where he is a DRAG QUEEN–love drag queen shows because these guys have guts–they go all out to flaunt it-very entertaning-just like Adam! But all in all Kris has it. Can not wait to buy his music. Already bought on I Tunes for my drive to work. LOVE IT!!!
Alright, so what your saying is that Danny’s votes are going to go to Kris. So if Kris wins its not because he “stole” Danny’s votes. Its because the majority of the people like Kris’ music more than Adam’s. Its not that he stole the votes, if we say that then we can go back to who stole Alison’s, or Lil’s, or anyone elses. In the end the people who like Kris or Adam more will vote for either one…. hence the winner!
As a previous poster said, you can’t get the full adam effect unless you are watching him. Believe me, I was one of those hardcore Adam fans…until I started listening to the songs again. just vocals no visual. Kris’ voice translates better on the radio medium. How many times are you going to see an artist in person versus listening to them on the radio or on your ipod?

i think that ADAM can NOT sing to save his life he screams and its not a normal scream like you hear in rock music. its like a dying bird scream. and its not because i dont like his style. bc i love rock music. and he is GAYY to the EXTREME!!! like seriously. who ever likes him has really bad hearing and eye sight..
