Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Tuesday, August 4, 2009

August 4, 2009 by

Is Tuesday night your big night of TV? What are you most excited to see? Since I’m a little ahead on BIG BROTHER, tonight’s POV competition isn’t all the exciting to me.  But if you’re only watching the CBS broadcasts then definitely watch tonight’s episode because it’s going to be a doozy.

I’m all about WAREHOUSE 13.  It started off slow for me but I’m really liking these episodes more and more as the go on.  What a nice summer surprise.

What will YOU be watching tonight?

10 Things I Hate About You | 8pm on ABC Family | Series Premiere
“Don’t Give Up”
Kat enrolls in shop class to convert her gas guzzler into a biodiesel vehicle; Bianca partners with Joey in chemistry class. [GMMR: I’m hearing more good things about this show. Are you watching?]

Hell’s Kitchen | 8pm on Fox
Tension mounts between two chefs competing in a challenge; Drew Lachey, John O’Hurley, Tom Green, Melinda Clarke, Chris “Kid” Reid and Kristy Swanson attend the dinner service. [GMMR: Julie Cooper Nichol in the house?!]

Ruby & The Rockits | 8:30pm on ABC Family
“Do You Want to Blow a Secret”
Jordan is stranded at a party, and Ruby’s only means of picking him up is by driving Patrick’s “off limits” new car.

Warehouse 13 | 9pm on Syfy
“Elements”
A thief steals a sculpture with the help of a Native American artifact, and the investigation leads Pete and Myka to discover a sacred place that they deem worthy of protection. Jeff Weaver: Joe Flanigan. Gilbert Radburn: James Naughton. [GMMR: I’m really digging this show! Looking forward to ready Seeleybaby’s thoughts tomorrow.]

Big Brother 11 | 9pm on CBS
Strangers coexist in a house hoping to win the cash prize. On tonight’s episode we will see this week’s POV competition as well as the POV ceremony…I think. [GMMR: Oh I can’t wait until you all get caught up on the end of this week/  There is some crazy biznatch going down in this house.  These people are certifiable…except for Jeff & Jordan.]

HawthoRNe | 9pm on TNT
“No Guts, No Glory”
Christina treats a female patient who appears to have been abused by her boyfriend; Bobbie helps a patient with abdominal pains; Ray helps a young man facing the possibility of being paralyzed; Camille gets a driving lesson from Kelly.

Saving Grace | 10pm on TNT
“Popcorn”
The squad investigates the murder of a whistle blower; Grace’s brother Leo is convinced his neighbor is keeping a dead body in his house; Johnny pressures Grace to arrange for him to meet Earl.

Rescue Me | 10pm on FX
“Carrot”
A no-nonsense woman, looking for a date, shows up at the firehouse talking trash; Janet offers Tommy an ultimatum; Needles and Lou concoct a battle of the sexes.

So I’ve been watching 10 Things and I have to say I was ready to hate. I thought the movie was cute when it came out and thought the idea of a televised version was pointless and kind of moronic. However….I’m kind of enjoying it. I don’t know names of any of the actors so forgive me, but the girl playing the role Julia Stiles originated is really good, as is most of the supporting cast. I’m not in love with the actress playing Bianca, but she’s growing on me a bit. Overall, the show is cute and pretty entertaining.

Oh…and then there is the guy. Gregory Peck’s grandson. Oh la. His voice (and before people throw handcuffs on me, he’s like 23 – I checked imdb, lol). His voice will make you want to watch the show, trust me (if you’re into male voices that is). So, if you’ve considered watching, you should check it out. It’s not appointment television or anything, but it certainly brightens the week during the summer months.
