Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Monday, September 28, 2009

September 28, 2009 by

It’s just another manic Monday.  And if you don’t believe me, check out the TV schedule below.  If you haven’t left for work/school/life yet, be sure to double check that DVR to make sure everything is in fine working order. I heard so many stories last week from GMMR readers who were betrayed by technology and missed out on their favorite shows.  My DVR is set. I’m ready to go. (I think…let me check just one more time).

Dancing with the Stars | 8pm on ABC
Celebrities are paired with professionals in a ballroom-dance competition, with one pair typically eliminated each week. This week director Baz Luhrmann serves as a guest judge. Competitors include Donny Osmond, Melissa Joan Hart, Michael Irvin, Chuck Liddell and more.

Heroes | 8pm on NBC
While facing the unexpected consequences of his heroic acts, Peter meets a reluctant new hero (Deanne Bray); Claire tries to adjust to college life and the revelation of her ability; Samuel does everything in his power to recapture memories of Joseph.

Greek | 9pm on ABC Family
“Down on Your Luck”
Casey and Ashleigh work to raise the ZBZ house rank; Rusty and Jordan examine their relationship.

Trauma | 9pm on NBC | Series Premiere
“Pilot”
Tragedy hits close to home for the trauma team at San Francisco City Hospital, changing the lives of everyone in the group. [GMMR: Here’s a first look at TRAUMA.  I didn’t love it, but it is from the creators of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS so maybe there will be something there? Unfortunately, it’s on Monday night so I don’t think I’m going to have the time to give it a far shot.]

Lie to Me | 9pm on Fox | Season Premiere
“The Core of It”
A woman (Erika Christensen) with multiple personalities may be either a killer or a murder witness; the Lightman Group must interrogate a possible Supreme Court nominee.

Tonight I’ll be watching liveish (meaning I start 15 minutes after it started so I don’t have to watch commercials lol) HIMYM, House, and Gossip Girl. I’ll Tivo Lie to Me, Greek, and Castle, then I’ll catch OTH and Trauma online. Geez, Mondays are reallyy busy.

I don’t know which will be online and which will be live, but I plan to catch HIMYM, House, Lie to Me, Castle, and Gossip Girl. Everything else just doesn’t interest me. I don’t know if Trauma will be any good, but the commercials make it look absolutely horrid. I’ll catch greek on dvd

  3. MikeH on September 28th, 2009 2:47 pm

I’ll watch HIMYM and Big Bang for sure. Just to finish out the hour I’ll watch Accidentally on Purpose, although the pilot was just kind of – meh. I’ll give Trauma a try. Still need to catch up a couple of shows from last week and Tuesday and Wednesday is packed.

8:09 PM. Is anyone else watching HIMYM right at this moment? There hasn’t been any volume for any dialogue. Maybe that’s on purpose? Haha, the one night i decide to give this show a shot, i have no idea what is going on.

Someone in Ohio just said the same thing. The volume is fine here in Boston.
