DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES: Don’t Walk on the Grass

November 2, 2009 by

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a good Halloween. There was a new episode of Desperate Housewives tonight and tensions are starting to rise among the housewives as things become less black and white and move into a grey zone.

Juanita was in a school play and accidentally uttered a certain four-letter word when she forgot her line. The principal laid out Juanita’s punishment and Gabby got defensive and over- reacted. Of course this ended badly and Juanita is now being home schooled. Gabby thought what she did was best but in reality all she did was hurt Juanita. I can see why Gabby reacted the way she did; the principal’s punishment was completely unfair. I can also see why Juanita was so upset, however, since she now is kicked out of school.

Tom came home wasted one night and from there Lynette began to notice some odd behavior on his part. It turns out that he is bribing some underclassmen to get him answers to his midterm exam. Lynette was furious and Tom pointed out her own dishonesty about her pregnancy. I side with Lynette on this one; not telling someone your pregnant is very different from cheating on a major exam. Tom could very well get kicked out school for his actions.

Surprisingly, Karl proposed to Bree. She was stunned at first but then put Karl on a probationary period to see how he shaped up without sex being a factor. I hope things between Bre and Karl do work out but I feel like it’s going to blow up in their faces.

Susan lasted less then one episode being friendly to Katherine. Katherine’s crazy actions made it completely understandable. Her plan to seduce Mike was ridiculous. The bathtub scene was completely over the top, however, and I didn’t find it funny at all, only immature.

It seems like Katherine is on to the Bolens secret now though, after she walks in on Angie having a secret conversation with her mother. It sounds like Angie has been on the run for quite some time. The scene at the end where she plants the seed that Katherine might be responsible for Julie’s attack was interesting and I’m curious to see where it goes.

Let me hear your thoughts below and I’ll see you guys back here next week!

I side with Lynette, too. Not to say nobody has the right to call Lynette out, but I don’t see where Tom has room to seeing that he knew about her deception with Carlos and Gaby all along and had no quams about being a beneficiary of her promotion. Kind of a convenient time to act as if there was a problem with what Lynette did when he’s rolled with it before and used it to follow his dream. Seems kind of like he created a smokescreen to take the spotlight off his own wrongdoing.
