TV Bloggers Pick the Best New Fall Shows of 2009

About this time every year, fellow blogger Scooter McGavin hits up a few of his TV blogger friends to take the temperature on the new season. What new shows are standing out as worthy of watching?
Here’s the top 10 new shows of the Fall season, as determined by a handful of TV bloggers.
1. Glee (5 votes) – Wednesdays @9pm on Fox
2. Modern Family (2 votes) – Wednesdays @9pm on ABC
3. The Vampire Diaries – Thursdays @8pm on The CW
4. Community – Thursdays @8pm on NBC
5. Cougar Town – Wednesdays @10pm on ABC
6. V – Tuesdays @ 8pm on ABC
7. White Collar – Fridays @10pm on USA
8. The Good Wife – Tuesdays @10pm on CBS
9. Mercy – Wednesdays @ 8pm on NBC
10. The Middle – Wednesdays @8:30pm on ABC
(Numbers in parenthesis denote first place votes.)
Well, it looks like Wednesdays are a popular night for new shows!
In full disclosure, here was my Top 5 favorite new Fall shows.

- Modern Family
- The Vampire Diaries
- The Good Wife
- Cougar Town*
*If I got a do-over I would replace Cougar Town with White Collar.

I’m loving White Collar too. While Cougar Town has lost its way a bit right now. Great picks!

OK, I could only come up with 4, but these shows are great.
My top three are Glee, Modern Family, and The Good Wife in that order so I guess I’m in good company. Community is leaving me cool, not cold but not warm either, and I do not get Cougar Town at all. I just watched one ep of White Collar so far and it is showing promise.

I’d say Glee, Modern Family, White Collar, Community and The Good Wife.
Mine, in no real order, are:
Vampire Diaries, White Collar, The Good Wife, Mercy, and Glee.
V is too early to tell.
I gave up on Community and Cougar Town.
Flash Forward is ok but really nothing more than a poor man’s Lost.
Also liking The Forgotten and NCIS: LA. Sad to see Trauma and Eastwick go.
Bottom line: This season’s new shows produced very few duds.

I haven’t watched Vampire Diaries, so it’s not that I’m not liking it, I just can’t judge it yet. I have a feeling I’d probably like it. Looks like I know what I’m catching up on during the December lull!
I agree with all your picks, but I am enjoying Flash Forward too! Haven’t seen Whote Collar yet. I need to catch up on those it seems. By far though, Glee is my number one. I can’t help but be happy when I watch that show!
