SNL – What Up With That (feat. Al Gore & Mindy Kaling)

November 22, 2009 by

It’s not often that I find an SNL skit featuring Kenan Thompson funny. But I had a good chuckle during last night’s “What Up With That” segment. Thompson was right on the money with his performance, but or me Jason Sudekis’ bit part as a background dancer really had me rolling.

As a fan of THE OFFICE, I was excited to see Mindy Kaling, even if she didn’t do anything.  Just wondering how she managed to keep a straight face.

Jason Sudekis is the only reason I like this sketch. When they did it the first time I had to watch it over and over only because of him. That song has been stuck in my head all day. oohh we, what with that? What up with that? 😀

Haha, I’ve also had that in my head today! And I totally agree that the background dancing is the best part – though I did enjoy the gospel choir addition last night.

hey, i think kenan has been delivering pretty consistently- his whoopie on the view kills me, and his james harrison (pittsburgh steeler) out-of-breath that he did was hilarious.

Is Kenan getting funnier, or is the rest of the cast getting worse?

I love Kenan! He is FUNNY. He did a skit..I believe called “Snookity Doo” that cracked me up and they only did it once. I think this has replaced Snookity Doo for me. LOL

That sketch was great. A couple of years ago I didn’t think Kenan was very good but I think he’s been one of their best castmembers this and last season.

I hate it when I get the egg burp. Awesome, still chuckling from that one. Kenny G on sax and the Running Man add artistic credibility.

I love Kenan he is my favorite actor on SNL when i heard that in the other room on SNL I ran in and started laughing my head off, I almost cried!

Personally, I REALLY love the clown wig dancer, although in every one of these sketches, It’s always the person that dances across the room towards the end. The one with Mike Tyson was also brilliant. Kudos to SNL for letting Kenan finally shine!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL….. I think this is hands down one of the only funny recurring skits on snl… keenan of course, the guy in the track suit dancing, and poor lindsay buckingham..

Hands down funniest indeed. Most of SNL skits are boring for me, and fast forward the DVR is the only way to watch this show.
