Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Monday, January 18, 2010

January 18, 2010 by

Tonight is the busiest night of TV for me, and not all of the Monday night shows have come back. DVR don’t fail me now.

Speaking of DVRs, it’s time to set a season pass on yours for LIFE UNEXPECTED, the new series premiering tonight on The CW. It’s my favorite new show of the mid-season, and I hope you all like this heartwarming and funny show as much as I did.

Tonight also brings us the second night of the two night 24 premiere. Philboy will be filing his thoughts on last night’s S8 premiere, so check back soon.

And don’t forget about Chuck. Really, don’t forget. The show needs the ratings!

    I think my head might explode with all the TV tonight! I’m in heaven!!

    I think LUX is on at 9pm…at least it is on my DVR (8pm my time)

    * 7pm: Watch CHUCK live, DVR HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
    * 8pm: DVR LUX & watch DVR’d HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
    * 8:30pm: Watch DVR’d LUX
    * 9pm: watch CASTLE live (also not sure how I’m going to keep up once everything it back. Hulu is a lifesaver.)

    I love being in the central time zone. I don’t know how you guys do it. I’m in bed at 10 hehe!

    Oooh, I am SO excited for Chuck, especially after reading the synopsis because I love Awesome. I kind of thought that after last week, he’d be involved in a one-time spy deal with the gang, but now it seems like he’s going to become maybe a semi-regular part of the team? Is that accurate? If so, I’m so all about that. Obviously he’s a doctor and can’t spare the time that a Buy More tech can without causing major issues for himself, but the more he’s involved in Chuck’s other world, the happier I am.

    Also, I completely forgot that Life Unexpected was starting tonight – I kind of figured that the pilot would be floating around to watch online by now and I haven’t seen it anywhere (trust me – I’ve looked). I’m glad now, because I get to watch it fresh tonight!

    I’ll be watching Chuck and LUX live, DVR’ing HIMYM, BBT and Castle. Add Greek to that list when it comes back (btw – Kath, I heard minor rumblings around the internet that Greek may be in danger of being cancelled – have you heard anything about that??). Oh, and I’ll be DVR’ing the Tonight Show too – I’m not missing Conan’s last week for anything.

    My DVR is happy to be busy! Although I am feeling a little overwhelmed!

    I will be lucky if I get home by 8 (central, ya’ll) and I have 7 hours recording today plus the two hours of 24 that I am regretting not having watched last night.

    So I am thinking it’s:

    Regis and Kelly with one of my TV boyfriends Ian Somerhalder.

    Good Morning Texas (local show) with Christina Kane

    Those two first while I get some DVR buffer going for my other shows.

    I’ll be watching Chuck and Castle tonight for sure. Then maybe last night’s 24.

    Thank Bejus that all my TV is back this week or I would never get through the hell that is my life right now! All my TVBF’s are back this week and that makes me super happy!

    Oh, and LUX is in there too. Sometime.

    Basically, I’ll be spending all week catching up on Monday’s TV. It’s funny that Monday is such a pileup. Is that intentional? Thursday used to be the night for trotting out your heavy hitters (and I guess it still is, but Monday is just as bad, and is actually much worse for me, since I only watch the NBC comedies on Thursday).

  7. Grant on January 18th, 2010 10:14 pm

    I bought a Honda today in support of Chuck.
