Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Monday, March 8, 2010

March 8, 2010 by

Happy Monday!!

I hope you all rested up this weekend because you’re going to get quite the TV workout tonight. Not quite sure how I’m going to be able to watch my show, blog and take care of a puppy that needs my 24/7 attention. Hmmm.

My new pup Digby arrived last Thursday and I’m madly in love with her. She’s just the most adorable little thing. Emphasis here on little. At 10 weeks old she’s only 1.5 lbs. But don’t let her size fool you, that pup can knows how to get what she wants.

I’m going to try to do the best I can keeping up with the blog, but as those of you who have had puppies in the past know, my time isn’t really my own until she is housebroken. Please be patient with me…and her.

Speaking of adorable, how about a little Chuck Bartowski, Barney Stinson and Chuck Bass tonight?  All of these hot men and more on your TV tonight!

For those of you watching The CW tonight, don’t forget about the line-up change.  LIFE UNEXPECTED is moving to its new time at 8pm and GOSSIP GIRL returns with new eps tonight at 9pm. Am I the only one really excited for the return of GG?!
How I Met Your Mother | 8pm on CBS
“Of Course”
When Robin confesses she is still angry with Barney, she enlists the help of a self-help author (Jennifer Lopez) who plans to beat Barney at his own game. [GMMR: Wait…are we to believe that Robin is still angry with Barney over their break-up? Let’s hope it’s something else, because that’s just ‘convenient’ storytelling.]

Chuck | 8pm on NBC
“Chuck vs. the Beard”

Chuck loses his ability to “flash” and is forbidden to participate in a mission. But with his spy peers out on assignment, troublesome forces affect the benched Chuck back at the base. [GMMR: I don’t want to set false expectations, but I will tell you that this is one of my favorite episodes of all time! So much good stuff. I’ve been told that NBC released a bunch of promos that spoils some of the BIG stuff that happens. BOOO to them for sucking. Please don’t post any promo spoilers in case others reading haven’t seen them.]

The Bachelor | 8pm on ABC
“Jason & Molly’s Wedding”
Former contestants Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney walk down the aisle at their wedding; includes footage of their bachelor and bachelorette parties

24 | 8pm on Fox
“Day 8: 2am-3am”
Jack tracks a suspect as the threat of a nuclear attack accelerates; a CTU employee is demoted. [GMMR: Any ’24’ fans reading this?  Raise your hand in the comments and let me know you’re out there.]

House | 8pm on Fox
“Private Lives”
An avid blogger experiences sudden bruising and bleeding; Wilson and House discover secrets about each other.

Life Unexpected | 8pm on The CW
“Bride Unbridled”
Baze and Math crash a wedding expo hosted by Ryan and Cate; Jones and Lux go on a date. [GMMR: Don’t forget that LUX is now on at 8pm.]

The Secret Life of the American Teenager | 8pm on ABC Family
“Good Girls & Boys”
When Ricky comes back to town, he fights with Ben, seeks shared custody of John and breaks up with Adrian. Elsewhere, Grace has difficulty accepting her mother’s honeymoon plans; and Anne suggests that she and George live together again.

(the rest of tonight’s TV spotlight is after the jump)

“Tunnel Vision”
Nancy is forced to confront one of her greatest fears; Marisa and Rabbit are called to the scene of a bank robbery; Boone must make a tough decision. [GMMR: I know I’m the blogger here and I should know this, but I thought this show was canceled?]

Two and a Half Men | 9pm on CBS
“I Found Your Mustache”
Charlie and Chelsea have a post-breakup one-night stand. [GMMR: Remind me again how this is the number two most watched comedy?]

Make It or Break It | 9pm on ABC Family
“Are We Family?”
In the first-season finale, the girls feel unprepared to compete against the Chinese team. Among their obstacles: Kaylie’s decision doesn’t sit well with her teammates, and Emily struggles with a crisis of confidence as well as heartbreak.

I can’t wait for Chuck tonight! Everybody says it’s going to be fantastic. I’m looking forward to Castle too, but I’m not liking the episode description.

  2. Dajaja on March 8th, 2010 10:29 am

OMG there is SO MUCH to watch tonight! I’ll be watching Chuck, HIMYM, Life Unexpected, Gossip Girl, Big Bang Theory & Castle. Some live, some online.

  3. Sarah on March 8th, 2010 10:36 am

AWESOME dog name Kath! It’s perfect!

  4. Jackie on March 8th, 2010 11:11 am

I’m raising my hand high, I will always be a fan of 24!

I will be watching Chuck, 24 and castle live. DVR’ing Trauma and The Big Bang Theory.

Still need to start from the beginning of Season 3 of GG, before I watch this comeback episode. Just got comcast in my new apartment, so I can get the CW now.

Also, need to get into HIMYM…Trust me I want to. In time I will catch up…

I Appreciate the promos I wasn’t sure if I could get out early or not.

  6. Jenny on March 8th, 2010 11:34 am

I’ll be watching Life Unexpected! My favorite new show!

  7. Shelby on March 8th, 2010 11:37 am

    24 fan for sure!!

And I’ve been meaning to ask…what does “after the jump” mean?

  8. Strunkette on March 8th, 2010 12:03 pm

8pm was packed enough without LUX moving there. I’m ticked! I don’t know what to do. I guess it will have to wait. Chuck and HIMYM have higher priority. LUX was perfect in the 9pm slot as I really don’t watch anything else then. I fear for it’s renewal.

BTW Digby is a PERFECT name! As I read that all I could think was “YES.”

  9. Stephanie P. on March 8th, 2010 12:28 pm

So excited for Chuck tonight! I am completely unspoiled.

  10. Patty on March 8th, 2010 12:47 pm

Chuck, LUX, Castle, Greek and you didn’t even put RuPaul’s Drag Race or Fashion Police on the list!

  11. Alyssa on March 8th, 2010 1:15 pm

Shelby, “after the jump” means after you click the “read the rest of this post” link. Typically refers to expanding the post so you can see the whole thing, or where most writers will put potential spoilers so they’re not on the main blog page and you have to choose to read them.

Wow – there’s a lot on tonight. I’ll be watching Chuck and LUX for sure and probably catching HIMYM, BBT, Castle, Greek and Gossip Girl later in the week. I totally didn’t realize Gossip Girl was back this week – I’m completely wavering on the show, but I have to admit that some news I heard about a very unexpected hookup potentially happening has given me reason to keep tuning in for the rest of the season at least. If Jenny would just die (or go live with her mom far far away for those opposed to death as a first resort), I’d feel much better about watching it.

I’m pretty much unspoiled about Chuck tonight except for one big thing, but I haven’t seen any promos and whatnot – I don’t want to b/c I want to be surprised with how the story unfolds. I loved last week’s ep, and I’m really excited for tonight – Zach L. must be so happy that his ep is getting all of this attention.

  13. JasTay on March 8th, 2010 6:08 pm

Will have to catch TBBT later on tonigh or tomorrow. So it’ll be Chuck, MIBI, Greek, and then Damages.
