SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER: Francia Raisa Says Adrian Will Explore All Options

So Adrian is pregnant.
We’ve been down this road with THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER before, no?
You’d think so, but according to actress Francia Raisa, her character’s pregnancy will not follow the same storyline as the show’s first teenage bun-in-the-oven.
“Adrian handles her situation a little differently than Amy [did],” Raisa says. “She actually wants to, before she goes through– Oh, I can’t even say it, because then I’m going to give stuff away… but she contributes a different aspect [of] a teen pregnancy.”
What’s Raisa trying not to spill?
An abortion on ABC Family?
Seems unlikely.
But I suppose it is 2010.
Or, perhaps, Adrian will consider adoption?
Says Raisa, “We’ll be exploring all options.”
So, what should Adrian do?

I’d like to see her have an abortion, not because she is too selfish, but because people need to see and realize that abortions aren’t evil. That they are ok, and probably the best solution for her mistake.
So wait…is every season a new teen going to get pregnant?
Abortion is totally evil in my opinion. Watch someone go through it and you realize. I wouldn’t mind seeing Adrian go through that agony so people can see the truth.
I want her to keep it.
While I think that all mothers who are unable to support teir child should consider adoption, I do think that there is a chance Adrian will terminate the pregnancy. I think it is wrong, BUT this show has really pushed the envelope and to continue with their After School Special style of showing real situations they need to include EVERYTHING that happens in real life whether it is right or wrong. This show is supposed to be 1) entertaining, and 2) a conversation starter.
Mandi– you obviously have never seen an abortion while its taking place. I saw a video of an abortion and was totally shocked. I watched a baby (yes, it looked like a baby) literally be ripped apart. It was absolutely horrific. I was pro choice until I saw that but after seeing a baby be physically torn apart I knew I could no longer advoate of abortion. The fact is, its killing a person, after what I saw I could never be convinced otherwise. Its frightening to watch, but I encourage you to do so.
Well it doesn’t matter if its a person or not, a woman should not have to have a baby if she doesn’t want to, she should be allowed to kill it. Its not like anybody will miss it. Sorry if thats too harsh for you but its the facts.
My problem with Adrian’s decision to have the baby is that it is SO out of character for her. I mean, ever since the show aired, Adrian has been the self-centered bitch who only thinks about herself. I realize pregnancy can make a person emotional, but I wish the writers would stay true to who Adrian is! Ever since the beginning, once Adrian makes up her mind about something, she DOES it. Perfect example: Ben. So why does she waiver NOW? I’ve always been Pro-Life, but I do feel that having another main character pregnant on the show is overkill. AMY is the teen mom. Adrian is the “bad girl.” Why change that?
Here’s the thing it seems like to me with this show there trying to force Adrian into keeping the baby. So if that’s the case i can see adoption being the only option. However i wouldn’t count out a still birth or premature birth yet either. So will have to wait see what happens.
I think adrian should keep the baby. Because she will love the baby to death..! She likes ben but she loves ricky! She is so confused and she wants help but outside of her inside she wants people to leave her alone! She wants to keep the baby nobody believes in abortions anymore except a couple off people your killing a baby people! just give it to adoption after having the baby! All teen moms want babys they just want to feel responsible! and this is coming from a 13 yr old girl in 7th grade believe me.. I know!
Well,I think that Adrian is not really selfish she has just had to learn how to be tough because she didn’t have anyone to bring her up.It is my opinion that she should have the baby but give it up for adoption.I don’t think she should have an abortion because 1) Im orthodox so I don’t belive in it and 2) It would be killing a human being.This is all coming from a 11 year old girl in the 6th grade.
Abortion is wrong its murder and anyone who has an abortion should go to prison If the girl doesnt want a baby then she should use all sorts of protection or keep her legs closed
Adrian is too immature to have a baby. She makes a competition out of everything. She thinks she has to WIN at everything. “I get a better baby shower, in the end i get the better boyfriend, i’m getting married before anyone else” <– not an actual quote.
