Banned FAMILY GUY Episode Gets DVD Release

August 9, 2010 by

“Partial Terms of Endearment,” the now infamous, banned-from-television episode of FAMILY GUY, will finally see the light of day via a September 28th DVD release.

The official synopsis of the episode:

The jokes stretch from here to maternity in the hilariously offensive Family Guy episode you couldn’t see on television! Now legal to own (but just barely), Family Guy: Partial Terms of Endearment is a freakin’ poignant tale of what happens when Lois agrees to become a surrogate mother for an infertile couple against Peter’s wishes. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry… it’s your choice!

So yes, the episode deals heavily with abortion and some other controversial topics — as only FAMILY GUY can — hence the ban from television.

The DVD also features a live table read with the cast, nine original songs — including three which have never before been released — THE SETH AND ALEX ALMOST LIVE COMEDY SHOW and a digital copy of the episode.

    I am against all things that suppress the freedom of expressions that some of these organizations do.

    Do we need an orginization like this? Yes but when they overstep their boundaries on issues that face today’s society and try to mask/cover up these issues, then they are useless.

    It’s like nudity. Some movies/scenes do need nudity and plays out well. Others use it just to draw an audience.

    I’ve seen the episode in question. From what I recall, it wasn’t any more or less offensive than your average Family Guy episode. Most of the jokes they do about Meg on that show are more troublesome than the way they cover the delicate subject matter in the banned episode.

    Anyone expecting something really scandalous is sure to be disappointed. I think the FOX network overreacted.

    They aired that episode recently on BBC3, here in the UK.

    Wasn’t anymore offensive than any other FG episode.

    Family Guy should be banned and off the TV. It airs on the children’s TV network and is teaching my kids how to speak bad lanuage. My son is learning bad lanuage from this show and I get calls from his school telling me the language he is using at school from this show.
    PLEASE TAKE FAMILY GUY OFF THE AIR. THE BAD WORDS FAMILY GUY SAYS ON THEIR SHOW IS TEACHNG MY SON HOW TO SPEAK BAD LANGUAGE. YOU ARE DOING NOTHING ELSE BUT TEACHING YOUNG KIDS HOW TO SPEAK FOUL LANGUAGE….

    @susan

    Don’t blame Family Guy for YOUR poor parenting, don’t allow your son to watch these shows, you can block the channels, and no, Family Guy is not hosted on a childrens channel, and its an adult show so how could it be?

    I love this family guy series so much that I could hardly fall asleep without enjoying one episode. I have to admit that this is not a suitable TV program for Children since there are some violence and dirty words in it. But for adults, it is ok.

    @susan
    what do you mean on children’s tv network? if you’re talking about cartoon network, it becomes adult swim after 9:00 pm because they expect kids to sleep early.

    Isn’t this basically just an episode of American Dad? Except it’s an infertile couple instead of a gay couple. Oh, SUCH a difference…

    I also recommend HubPages itself, and Squidoo, which is similar.

    In case you are able to get her to go along with this, post the location: I’m positive you’ll find lots of Y!A users who’d like to read her stuff.
