Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Thursday, September 16, 2010

September 16, 2010 by

This Thursday feels like the calm before the storm. My mind won’t allow me to even think of the onslaught of shows we are going to be dealing with come next Thursday night. I hope you’ve got that DVR (or in my case, those DVRs) rested and ready to go.

But for now, let’s enjoy a relaxing night of television, complete with blood sucking vampires, ex-assassins, crass bar owners, bitchy designers and Donald Trump’s hair.

Here are a few of the highlights from tonight’s TV lineup…

The Vampire Diaries| 8pm on The CW
“Brave New World”
Desperate and confused, Caroline leaves the hospital; Damon is suspicious of Tyler’s uncle; Bonnie unleashes her anger on Damon.

Nikita | 9pm on The CW
“2.0”
Nikita tries to thwart Percy and Michael’s plan; Alex is activated early for a special assignment; a pivotal moment in Nikita’s life is revealed.[GMMR: Many of you seemed to like the pilot. Will you be watching again this week? I will.]

Project Runway | 9pm on Bravo
“A Rough Day on the Runway”
The designers are hemmed in by the politics of fashion when they delve into American sportswear. Actress January Jones is the guest judge.

The Apprentice | 9pm on NBC | Season Premiere
“Modern Workspace”

Sixteen contestants affected by the economic crisis are divided into teams and asked to create a modern workspace; an office hazard leads to an accident; a contestant is fired. [GMMR: Seriously? This show is still on the air?]

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia | 10pm on FOX | Season Premiere
“Mac Fights Gay Marriage”
In the season 6 premiere, Mac pulls out the big guns to protect the sanctity of marriage, while the rest of the gang reap the rewards of marital bliss.

The League | 10:30pm on FOX | Season Premiere
“Vegas Draft”
The League’s reigning champion pulls out all the stops and hosts the draft in Las Vegas; when one member drops out Jenny throws her hat in the ring to join the League.

Now it’s your turn. What will YOU be watching tonight? Did we not highlight one of your favorites?  Let us know!
