GLEE Skit on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE featuring Jane Lynch and Gilly : Give Me My Remote

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: GLEE & Gilly = Awesome!

October 10, 2010 by

Last night Jane Lynch once again put on her famous red track suit and tortured the McKinley High New Directions Glee Club. But this time it was during a hilarious skit on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.

Sue Sylvester, the diabolical evil genius that she is, recruited a new member to help her take down the Glee Club once and for all — Gilly!

I’m hoping this isn’t the last GLEE skit we see on SNL. That was pretty funny!

(Is it just me or did Kenan Thomson make a great Mercedes?)

Hilarious! Lots of great casting in this skit – especially Keenan and Fred Armisen, as Artie. I also loved the “guest appearance” by Gay Kurt’s accepting father!!

very funny! I actually laughed a lot during the entire episode. I think my fave was the ‘TV Boyfriend Show’ or whatever it was called.

And another thing…I really like this cast this year. There aren’t any major superstars, but every one seems really funny. I’m looking forward to Amy Poehler hosting.

Amy Poehler hosted two weeks ago…for the season premiere. Are the re-airing it already?

Jane Lynch was fantastic, and knocked it out of the park. SNL usually elicits a huge yawn lately, has not been funny for the most part, and Lynch rescued it with a super performance. Sue was almost more Sue on SNL than on Glee…. loved it.

no they took it off!!! Damn you NBC
Anyone know where there is a working clip? It’s not on hulu or nbc.com

Kath, yeah, I guess so! I didn’t watch it, so when they advertised for it in late October (with Katy Perry?), I thought it was going to be new. Ha. I’ve certainly lost touch with SNL! But after this past week, I might just tune in again.

PLEASE tell me where I can watch it online! It’s not on Hulu, where I usually watch it so I can skip through all the boring skits!

The SNL parody of Glee was awful. Completely awful. It was so out-of-character I actually felt physical pain. Artie’s disability compensation, Kurt’s sexuality, and Finn’s intelligence were stupid high school stereotypes that were so off from the show I wondered how SNL is still on the air. And then Gilly came along and ruined the entire thing. When will SNL realize that Gilly is, in no way, funny? Not even slightly? Kristen Wiig’s characters are way too annoying in general, and bringing her into Glee ruined it for sure. When SNL can’t even do a parody right, you know something about the show needs to change.
