CASTLE’s Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic and Tamala Jones Talk ‘Last Call’

December 6, 2010 by

CASTLE is back!

Sure, it’s only been off the air a few weeks, but the short hiatus was still hard, no?

In tonight’s brand new episode, “Last Call,” a dead bar owner leads to the discovery of some Prohibition-era secrets and delves into the culture of modern day watering holes.

“[The episode is] kind of focused on the bar culture in New York City,” Stana Katic (Beckett) previewed. “It’s got a real CHEERS feel to it. I think people will enjoy that.”

Something else people may enjoy? The cast singing a song to close out the hour.

“The boys all have fantastic singing voices,” Katic gushed. “You can quote me on that.”

But how was the singing experience for the guys?

“Not bad at all,” said Nathan Fillion (Castle). “Billy Joel, absolutely love him. ‘Piano Man,’ fantastic song. [However] if you want to get sick of a song really quick? Sing it 136 times. Our poor crew, we were driving them nuts, because not only did we have to do the takes, but we were rehearsing and trying to work it out and all that, you know, singing in the same key…”

Give Me My Remote was on the set for the filming of this episode and though we didn’t get to hear too much ‘Piano Man,’ we did get to speak with Tamala Jones about what fans can expect from the medical angle of this week’s case. Take a look…

I’m so darn excited for a new episode…singing and merriment is just an added plus!! 🙂

The singing was great and so was the mystery. But what was best is that the flirty fun between Castle and Beckett is back again at last. I’ve missed it so.

Time for Gina and Josh to move on and the fun to come back to the show.
