BONES: Is Daisy in Danger? Carla Gallo Weighs In

Since the BONES producers warned that someone we know is in jeopardy, fans have been speculating which character might become the sniper’s victim. Carla Gallo’s busy career outside of BONES has made Daisy an easy frontrunner for scheduling reasons — Gallo is in a CW pilot and has booked various movie roles/guest spots on TV — but is Sweets’ girl in danger?
I caught up with Gallo at the FREAKS & GEEKS/UNDECLARED PaleyFest reunion and after we talked about her time on UNDECLARED, she shared her thoughts on the rumors that Daisy’s time is running out and how she’d like the Daisy-Sweets relationship to wrap up this season…

I know I am in the minority, but I like Daisy (and dislike Angela’s father and also Caroline).
I would be sorry if Daisy dies, but cheer Caoline to be taken out.
While the character of Daisy sometimes drives me nuts, I just love Carla Gallo-she’s so sweet and bubbly. Sweets often annoys me way more than Daisy ever did. I think the Daisy character has come a long way and is much less annoying than when she first appeared on the show.
Errr. Ok here is a really interesting idea- don’t hate me, but as a writer I think it’d be a good storyline….Zach, dear friends…. I know I would love to see him come back too but what if the sniper whacks him???? Obviously there would be emotional issues with the lab workers etc. It’d be a good episode even if it were totally depressing…It’s completely possible to kill him even in the mental institution, they have windows- so it’s totally plausible.
wow.. I was completely off on another thought..lol.. as terrible as it sounds.. I figured something was gonna happen to Angela and the baby.. I dont see how a baby fits into the story line and a lot of shows have been doing that to “younger” ones… I hope its not her or the baby.. don’t wanna cry..lol
If they kill of Caroline, I will never ever watch it again.

Caroline cannot go. I guess I wouldn’t care if Daisy went, but it would worry me what Sweets would do, so I guess I wouldn’t want that. I thought something would happen to Max because he was sort of a bad guy. Not really. But I mean, he did go to jail, and maybe they wanted to take him out. I can see them taking out Zach. Or maybe even Hannah. She’s been out of a few episodes, but I guess not enough to be killed. Nothing can happen to Parker, or Booth would kill himself. Either way, I don’t think Daisy will die, as much as I wouldn’t care if she did.

My girlfriend and I have been talking about this for weeks… I think its Parker… how else can the sniper TOTALLY effect Booth?
Killing Daisy is a logical choice. It would open up a new take for Sweets, to watch him try to grapple with her death and how he will process through it.
It’s wracking my mind as to who’s gonna get killed off. Every character is signigent to the show….. I did like the suggestion of Zach, because he’s already gone from the show…Maybe Cam, i don’t care if she leaves or Daisy…The rest of the cast are intertwined with each other, so they can’t kill them off. Someone suggested that it might be Caroline? I guess we’re just gonna have to wait & watch to see who gets it in the end…..
It has to be Bones dad. The sniper is killing people who have gotten away with things that otherwise would have put them in jail and remember her dad was robbing banks and murdered (I believe were officer).

I dont think it will be her Dad, because he killed to protect Bones and Russ. He stole from criminals… in a sense, he is in the same boat as the sniper.
Love Caroline’s character, but I think she is definitely gone. I read somewhere about a year ago that she was leaving the show, and was actually surprised to see her in this season at all. I hate to see her go, and would much rather see Daisy’s character go, but unfortunately, don’t think that is going to happen.
NO way to Caroline! That would totally bite. My reasoning with Zach is this: He’s sort of a bad guy. I know, lovable, but kinda bad. The sniper is a vigilante and kills people he sees as not being punished. Face it Zach got off easy- he went to a mental institution instead of prison. Zach would be a personal attack against Booth, at least a little bit. I cannot see the sniper killing a child it would be completely out of character.
The second option is Hannah. Yeah, she’s not a bad guy in the criminal sense but it’s possible he could kill for hire. Hannah is a reporter she could be onto a story that’s not making someone happy or perhaps she wrote a story about a bad person and for some reason it ticks the sniper off.
There could be a motive to kill Caroline- she’s an attorney, but she’s also a prosecuting attorney so she doesn’t defend bad guys- so the motive with her is weak.
Booth’s dad or brother would be decent options too, though someone mentioned the similarities between him/them and the sniper and that might make him less likely to kill either one of them.
The sniper’s character isn’t going to shoot someone willy-nilly, there has to be a reason and unless one of the other characters has a background we don’t know about… those are who I think are on the chopping block.
Slightly OT, but Carla Gallo is so much prettier when her hair isn’t being yanked off the top of her head by that industrial strength ponytail holder the hair department likes to use on her. As for Daisy’s character, I think she should’ve stayed in Indonesia during the season premiere, and then the writers could’ve written her character off completely by having her send Sweets a “Dear John” letter and his storyline could’ve been about him and Bones dealing with heartbreak while everyone else around them were in madly in love. So, in short, I’m hoping she gets taken out be the sniper
I think its going to be Clark, he has had a lot of screen time and some personality changes this season, very open and swan-songish so to speak. No mater how annoying Daisy is i don’t thing they will kill her despite how much we wish so.
Since the sniper is supposed to have such a profound effect on Booth, it stands to reason that the target should be someone that would greatly affect him. The sniper said he wouldn’t hesitate to leave Parker father-less, but hasn’t actually threatened Parker himself.
Also, while the teasers say that a cast member could be a victim, I haven’t seen confirmation that they will be killed…so, maybe just maimed by the sniper…Remember, Broadsky was really upset that Booth talked to Paula and that she subsequently killed herself, calling Booth a bad person. Broadsky only goes after people he considers bad, so maybe he goes after Booth? Or maybe Broadsky realizes how much it would hurt Booth if Brennan were killed and goes after her?
Of course, Booth would take Broadsky out if he hurt Brennan…and maybe Brennan would come to Booth’s rescue if he is in fact, the target….and just think about how a near death experience might bring them closer together at the end of the season!
The victim has to make sense to Broadsky…and according to all the spoilers, have an effect on Booth (he is evil-Booth, right?). So, while killing off Daisy would hurt Sweets, and by default Booth, it wouldn’t make as much of an impact if it were someone he was closer to…Those are my thoughts anyway.
I don’t know how I feel about Daisy. She seems to bring out a different side of Sweets that we don’t see when he is dealing with the B&B relationship. I hope it isn’t Clark. Carla said that Nigel isn’t coming back next season, and I don’t think that it would be Hannah because there was speculation about her possible return. I hope it wouldn’t be Parker, because if they ended his character, I don’t think I could watch the show. I agree with it possibly being Zach. Who knows, hopefully it won’t be anyone we all adore!
I think it will be Zack Addy. He’s already been shown to be a bad guy, while most of the others are all good guys and gals.
I could see the logic of Caroline being the sniper’s target, however, since she is a U.S. Attorney, and may have put away some really nasty characters during her career.
As for Jack and Angela, they have a baby on the way, and to kill either Dr Hodgins or Angela (and the baby) would be really cruel.
If it were to be Daisy, I think her Lancelot (Dr. Sweets) would be better prepared through his professional training to adjust to it, although it would still be quite an emotional blow.
If the sniper targets Parker, I could see Seeley going vigilante (a la Batman) and hunting down his son’s killer. Booth tends to aggressively protect those he cares about.
If Temperance is killed, well , then the show is pretty much over, with the title character gone.
I don’t see Dr. Saroyan as the target either — Michelle’s father was already murdered earlier in the story line, and to have two parents taken that way would just be the approach to the ramp for BONES to jump the shark.
I also don’t see Clark Edison as the target. He may be a little stiff and formal, but he will loosen up over the rest of the season, I think.
I don’t know who it will be, but at least I know who I think it WON’T be.
My guess would be Booth’s brother. He isn’t a regular on the show, but they have provided a great backround to their family dynamic. Booth has rescued his brother on numerous occasions, though they haven’t said what he did on those occasions. Booth’s brother also has a drinking problem, perhaps a drunk driving incident will emerge. No matter who it is (no way Booth or Bones is going anywhere) Booth and Bones will get through the situation together….sigh….
Booths ex, Parkers mom, by some bizarre accident….that would shake Booth up…he’d be a full time dad & FBI agent
HOW ABOUT CAROLINE GETTING A BOYFRIEND. SHE’S A HOOT ANYWAY AND LET HER SHOW THE “YOUNGEN’S” OLDER FOLKS ARE ROMANTIC TOO. DAISY DRIVES ME NUTS. WHY DOES ANGELA HAVE TO BE SUCH A TRAMP?
Katie: Interesting. I didn’t even think about Booth’s brother. That’s not a bad idea and theoretically he’d fit the snipers profile, though if the sniper is going to kill/maim someone just to spite Booth than all of the profiling in the world isn’t going to help us guess who it is…
hmmm.. ok there are alot of good debates here. if anyone i think Zach might be leaving the cast. Zach was working for gormagon, it seems to fit the snipers profile. . .

If the sniper were purely trying to inflict emotional damage on Booth, Rebecca would be the perfect target. Imagine the fallout…Parker would be mother-less. It would give Booth the perfect opportunity to distance himself from Brennan (at least in the beginning) because he couldn’t cope with trying to deal with Parker’s emotional’s issues and being a full-time parent. They would achieve maximum impact without really losing a character as Rebecca has not actually appeared on-screen in several seasons. This would give the writers the perfect device to wedge Booth and Brennan back apart a little right as it seems they are starting to work things out again. The only problem here is that you can’t ignore this fact if you decide to cross this bridge. If they go down this road they have to acknowledge going forward that Booth has a son full-time and I don’t know if that is something they want to do.
No! They can’t kill neither Daisy or Caroline! Caroline is awesome, sometimes a bit annoying, but awesome. And Daisy as well. Why, just why does it need to be someone in the team, huh? I don’t get it…
You know… Sweets is not Sweets without Daisy. Booth is not Booth without Caroline (in a friendly way). Bones are not Bones without Daisy and Caroline.
