V Season Finale: What Did You Think?

Did anyone else watch the V season finale tonight? I just finished the hour and I have to say, I have incredibly mixed feelings about what went down.
As a season finale? Totally solid. We got a lot of plot movement, big reveals, multiple deaths and tons of cliffhangers. There were plenty of things that could (and should) bring viewers back for the next season.
However, the big question now is if the show will return for another season. ABC has been having a difficult time getting viewers on Tuesday nights and a third season of V is very much up in the air.
So if “Mother’s Day” was V’s series finale? Oy. Like I said, an absolutely enjoyable episode and no scene felt wasted. But if that was the last we’ll see of these characters, there was very little storyline payoff. We had the death of three central characters (Diana, Tyler and Ryan), but aside from Diana’s public murder, the other two bodies haven’t even been discovered.
If that was the final episode, Erica doesn’t know Tyler is dead or that Hobbes was responsible for the explosion that killed Joe. (Speaking of which, where did Hobbes run off to?!) How much would that stink to not get to see those arcs play out on our screens? We don’t know what Anna will do now that she knows that Chad was the one holding Lisa “hostage.” Poor Jack is all blissed-out. And Project Aries! I want to know more about Project Aries and their bliss alarm. There is so much I’m left wanting answers to.
There’s no denying the showrunners were in a tight place when they crafted the season finale, but do you wish a little more had been resolved?

What a fantabulous episode! They really stepped it up.. I knew the show had something left! The only mixed feelings I have that if ABC cancels this show I’m joining the V’s and boycotting Humans!

I agree that the episode left things up in the air so I hope ABC will renew it. I love the show and its the best show on ABC.

Jane Badler was the only watchable thing on that piece of dung. That child couldn’t act to save her life and why did the producers not ever show her “growing” which was one of the fun elements of the series with the child in the cocoon?
The dialogue was embarrassing.
The writers are just stealing elements from ALIAS at this point. “Blue energy” = Rambaldi’s Mueller Device. Mother (Diana) in prison cell for a season = Lena Olin’s “Irina.”
At the end of the first hour of the original mini series, we knew they were here to EAT humans. We’re at the END of Season Two and we’re still talking this “bliss” crap? REALLY? Aliens are here to “bliss” us?
I hate myself for watching this show.
I love this show, but last night i have mixed feelings. It seems that Anna is winning at every turn. No matter what the humans do she comes out on top. Part of the excitement from the og. series was watching the V’s plans fall apart and seeing humans come out on top. The new show has humans being scary little ants and the bottom of the V’s shoes. And what is up with Ryans daughter? Did she really kill her dad? As much as I Love to watch this show on Tuesday nights this was a let down big time.. Last years ending was tops..this years ending sucked big time..BIG TIME..
Terrible. No point. No hope left. Anna got everything she wanted and more, even a half human, non-queen child can bliss the humans? Really stupid! The writers introduce people and situations that have no point, no direction. Very poorly played out. It seems as if the writers have no idea what direction the show should go and then they just say “oh let’s do this and forget about this…” The writers leave you with no hope, nothing left to fight for. It seems the finale was all about the writers throwing in a little bit of everything, sex, blood, violence, betrayal, abandonment, death, with very little concern for storyline or character development. So they have developed Anna’s character? not really, we all knew she was evil and she stayed evil. Erika, we all knew she was a mom who cared about saving her son, but failed.
I completely agree with jo and janelle. The whole 2nd season was better overall than the season finale. It felt like during the whole season the writers would wet your appetite and introduce you to different flavors that had you coming back for more and then one day they just decide to serve you a plain generic mac and cheese dish.
Everything about this episode felt rushed and the killing of Tyler and Ryan could have easily happened during the season several times but for some reason they got out of more extreme situations miraculously. There were so many moments in the episode that had you thinking “ok, this must be dream sequence” because things just made no sense and weren’t consistent with the rest of season. I loved the 1st season finale but second one just completely turned me off the show.
Totally agree with Chad. What a horrible serie!! Okay, on the last episode a lot of things happens..but it is because nothing happened on the entire season! Where is the “visitors” (i don’t know why the writers change the meaning of (V)ictory for (V)isitant) army? and what about the war itself? all the season is about common people with hostesses suits on a mother ship… and the war? and the lizards? and what happened with John May legend? never give us a solid explanation about it! (and ‘John May matter’ took a lot of chapters on the first season) . What about the alien’s ships (or knew as skyfighter on the original serie)???
Boreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed…
I watch this serie only for see “what weird and nonsense thing done with V idea”
I have to say that I LOVED the 2nd season finale of V and hope they bring the show for one last season to wrap things up. I don’t think it would deserve to go for longer than 3 seasons considering that the story has had some slow times without a huge plotline, but there are good questions and scenarios that need to be resolved. Or else, what was the point of all of this?? TV writers desperately need to think up an amazingly new series that has us craving more after each episode, sorta like “LOST”, the first couple of seasons….
Loved the Season Finale…but the problem I have is it took all season to build up to something very exciting, and what’s worse we may never know what happens since it may very well get canceled. Say what you want about the show Heroes…but the first season every episode had a great ending and you wanted to see what happened the following week. V was not like that…they let things drag on (much like later episodes of Heroes) with no real action to speak of…
I hope it comes back…but I have my doubts. And even if it comes back…will the writers give us something to look forward to each week????

it was nice to watch , i think it attracted me , but i didnt like taylor perfomance and i was happy that he died in the last episod , beside that all the other actors were great , i liked anna ,jashwa and hopkins , i would like to see season three .
It was an awesome series! I don’t get the few negative comments I read. The show ROCKS! Can’t believe they canceled it… on a major cliffhanger.. just when it was getting good. Friggin ABC
