BONES’ Stephen Nathan: ‘The Hole in the Heart’ is a ‘Very Difficult Episode For Us’

May 11, 2011 by

While there has been plenty of hype around Thursday’s brand new episode of BONES, executive producer Stephen Nathan assured me “The Hole in the Heart” is indeed “a wonderful episode.”

That’s not to say the hour is necessarily a happy one. In the video below, Nathan mentioned shedding a few tears and I can definitely vouch that a few people around me at the Paley Center screening of “The Hole in the Heart” cried a bit during certain scenes.

So what else can fans expect? Nathan teased bringing things to a head (without resolving them), losing one of their own, what Cam and Sweets will be up to in the last few episodes, and whether we’ll see more of Michelle next year. Plus, BONES creator Hart Hanson decided he wanted to make a cameo during Nathan’s interview…

this bed scene would of had more meaning for fans if hannah had never been shacking up with him,now of being in favor for bones and booth its something fans will be sorry to see.

Thank you, Marisa! Did you get to interrogate Hart at the Paley event? If you did, when can we expect to see the video?

    @ Ann

You will be sorry to see it. Please don’t speak for “fans” when stating your opinion.

Yes!!! I will speak for myself, and I am exstatic to see it! It think that they have come through so much and worked through all of their emotional hesitance… I think it makes perfect sense, and I think that there is nothing that really stands in their way now. They’ve both had some blame in what led them here, and they’ve both been hurt, but they have both let eachother know that it all led them to a place where they can see a future… if not now, then at some time… and apparantly some tragedy is going to help them get over that last barrier, which has been their physical distance and awkwardness with touching that has developed this season because of thei issues they’ve delt with. I cannot wait!

So yes.. Please don’t speak for “Fans”… because “Fans” encompasses a lot more than the few people who post on these boards, and even those few have very different points of view!

Yes, @ann, you are definitely not speaking for THIS fan. I am very much looking forward to this episode and seeing what happens between Booth and Brennan despite the pending loss.

Ann, you have the right to say how you feel. Just as everyone else has their right. Others please remember this is a tv show and stop being nasty to other posters.

I have not been happy with the season either and think it is too soon to put them together. I am not speaking for anyone but myself. Don’t jump on me now.

NIgel-Murray is dead. I am so disappointed that they felt they had to have him removed from the show. I really loved his character. So sad

I was excited to see what happened between booth and brennan but I was so sad about what happened to nigel murray. He was my favorite squint I wish he would have stayed in the show.

Vincent Nigel-Murray was my favorite. And I’m not saying this ’cause he’s dead. He’s always been my favorite. Gosh I wished they didn’t have to kill him. That was utterly sad. And then I felt guilty about being so happy about B/B only a few scenes later ><" All in all a great episode indeed!
