TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY Comic-Con Trailer - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

July 23, 2011 by

TORCHWOOD brought a new trailer to Comic-Con, and there’s some fun new footage inside, including some that gives some crazy teases about the next eight episodes of the season. Here’s what I can piece together from this thrill ride of a trailer…

Jack’s anomalous mortality will reverse itself. A new character will soon be introduced — one who’ll get nice and close to Captain Jack, if you know what I mean. But this fella comes with his own mysteries, and he seems to crop up during Jack’s work hours, too. (Meaning: he could have ties to the Miracle.) There are shots in this trailer of Jack looking bloody and beaten, but it sounds like he’s going to be okay. New cutie says, “I saw you get shot. I saw your body…” Jack (from bed!) interrupts, “Do you want to see it again?” Double entendre!

Gwen’s even more conflicted than we thought. I was heartbroken last week when the agents separated Gwen from Baby Anwen, but it was also awesome to see her back in action. Turns out, she’s feeling just as torn. In this trailer, she cries when she says, “Out of all the shit we have seen, all the horror — do you know what is worse than all of that? I loved it.” Oh, Gwen.

It might still be about aliens! Someone seems to have figured out the Miracle. An unseen face (maybe Oswald Danes?) says, “I’m the only one left. The only true human. What did you give them so long ago?” I mean, if that’s not enough to spin your brain, I don’t know what is. Does that insinuate that the rest of the world’s population has been mutated somehow? And that Jack had something to do with it? Whatever it is, it sounds bad.

We’ll be back in the morning with the episode three recap!
