With a new SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE winner crowned, it’s time to reflect back on the season that was.
After Thursday’s season finale, judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, Lil C and Tyce Diorio talked about whether the right person won, favorite routines, how the contestants next year will need to step up and much more.

melanie was great. my girl was sasha. last nite was a slamming show up to the point when the winner was announced n sasha was escorted off the stage without given the same sendoff as tadd marko n melanie. that didnt sit well with me at all. she deserved her farewell and that is something that cant be done over.
Lisa that has happend to all the people that have been in “2nd place” really is wrong!
I normally have great respect for Nigel but this season he really showed his bias and basically hinted that people should vote for Melanie. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a good dancer but Sasha was better and she should have won imho.
I love Melanie and think she’s incredible. But there were so many things wrong with this season. There was a lack of diversity of choreography and Melanie got her own style SO MANY times. I don’t think she was properly critiqued. But I love her and think she is an incredible dancer.
I think all of the top 10 girls were amazing! I wish I could have seen more of the ones that were eliminated early.
Bring back Mia Michaels please!
Since auditions, my bet was on Melanie. My favorite was Sasha. So I really wasn’t surprised. I was just hoping the person who performed best the whole season would win. That was Sasha.
sasha is america’s favorite dancer and melanie is judge’s( specially nigel) favorite dancer.
