FRINGE Fox Fall Preview Promo - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

FRINGE Fox Fall Preview Promo

September 1, 2011 by

Given that Fox has started to slowly dole out glimpses of the upcoming fourth season of FRINGE in their various teasers and promos, it’s a bit of a surprise that their official Fox Fall Preview spot consisted solely of recut old scenes with dialogue about Peter’s past storylines as the voice-over (and, of course, some appropriately mysterious shots of Joshua Jackson).

However, while this promo is fun enough, our favorite part might be SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE judge Mary Murphy’s intro for the show.

Take a look…

not really a surprise there’s no new footage… I’m sure Fox is nervous about Jackson not being in the first few episodes.

Why would they be nervous? The episodes without him in season 3 did just as well or better then the ones with him. Rather insulting to the other actors and the wriiers etc , as if he is some kind of superstar.

Really I think they are overdoing the Peter/Jackson bit, and I am not the only one.
And then that whole sacrifice story rewrite that no one sees at all, and was not there at all from Peter in season 3.
It was Olivia who risked her life for Peter and showed her love, very unbelievable spinning of that storyline, even more since veryone knows that Jackson hated the Olivia/Peter bit until after the final, so when did he see the light?

Anna Torv and John Noble are both very popular and brilliant actors, and I for one am very curious how Olivia and Fauxlivia will be in season 4, especially after the clip we got monday, Fauxlivia sitting in a chair in a way that looks likes she is in control of something, and Olivia finally back in action scenes instead of running after Peter. And curious about the Olivia -Walter dynamic.

I think it’s a reasonable thing to think that Fox would be nervous about any of the three actors being gone for several episodes. It’s never happened before.

Most fans want Peter to come back quickly, and I think Fox gets it.

I agree with Donna. Take any of the three out of the show, and there would be reason for nervousness, as they all play an integral part in what makes up Fringe.

They are playing up the Peter cliffhanger, just like they did for the Olivia cliffhanger at the end of season two. Huh? to the superstar bit. That’s what the producers do at the start of every season, and it wouldn’t matter who was the character in the cliffhanger. That’s just how it works. Fringe is about the characters not the actors, and that’s the question being asked at the moment, where is Peter Bishop, since he now ceases to exist, as per the cliffhanger from season 3. So, it stands to reason that this question would appear strongly in promos.

Peter got into the machine because he knew he was the only one who could save their world, not knowing what would happen to him. So, he gave up his life to save Olivia, Walter and the other world, because he no longer exists now. He did that, because he loved Olivia and Walter and saw what the future was going to be. That’s what episode 3.22 was about. That doesn’t take away from Olivia what she did for Peter. This ties the P/O relationship into the Fringe mythology now, which makes this relationship more interesting, than just putting the two leads together, because they can.
