BONES’ ‘The Crack in the Code’ Pushed Back to January

December 5, 2011 by

BONES fans who were looking forward to the start of the new serial killer arc are going to have to wait a little bit longer: Fox has pushed back “The Crack in the Code” — the show’s midseason finale — from its original air date of December 15th to January 12th where it will serve as a lead-in for THE FINDER series premiere. (ETA: Fox has officially confirmed the news and revealed that “The Finder,” the BONES episode that launched the quasi-spinoff last year, will rerun on December 15th.)

For what it’s worth, I think this could potentially be a good thing. BONES has never aired an original hour so late in the year (and ratings tend to tumble the later original episodes air in December), and this way, it makes the wait between the midseason finale and the show’s return a little less painful. Plus, now THE FINDER has an actual lead-in versus a rerun.

The bad news? That means this Thursday’s episode is the last episode of BONES in 2011.

Are you okay with the change?

Someone can drop a bomb on the finder for all I care, they can have a better promoting team than Obama and I still wouldn’t watch it. Stop fucking around with the Bones schedule.

  2. EL on December 5th, 2011 2:46 pm

I think Paul speaks for many, many viewers.

  3. El on December 5th, 2011 2:48 pm

I am not sure it is good for Bones. If TBBT is on at 8 that will cost them viewers.
At 9, I will be watching Grey’s Anatomy.

Can catch up on Bones on TNT anytime.

I have zero interest in the Finder. I did not mind the pilot but I would rather watch GA.

  4. AJ on December 5th, 2011 2:50 pm

Many, Many fans just won a bet.

It was pretty much an obvious conclusion that this move would happen. The finder is HH’s baby and so many of the cast of Bones has been included in various episodes that it is obvious that Fox is putting all of it’s eggs in a basket for this show.

    Bones replacement = Finder
I predict a split season next year/ 13 episodes each. Open wide, the cramming begins!

That’s another bet I will win.

You’re kidding right on saying this could be a good thing. We have had a 5 month break, now a 5 week break and then another 4 month break. How is this good? The casual fans are going to ask if Bones has been canceled AGAIN since they can never find it on the schedule.

  6. Linda on December 5th, 2011 3:07 pm

Marisa..Being the die-hard Bones fan that you are, thanks for trying to put a positive spin on this scheduling change. I hope you are right on the potential of this being a good thing for Bones. Will viewers really tune into a random new episode of Bones weeks later? Maybe us faithful Bones fans, but the average viewer? What a waste of an episode that will be introducing a new serial killer…. I love Bones and I can’t help feeling that the show will suffer at the expense of pushing The Finder down our throats.

  7. CriMiBird on December 5th, 2011 3:17 pm

I’m not a massive Bones fan (I’m a casual viewer now) but this won’t be good for them, and I’ll tell you why using an example I know well.

How many folks here are Criminal Minds fans? Not many probably, but that’s OK. This time last year we were all getting ready for our “Spin-off” of Suspect Behaviour, and even though that was on after regular CM every week, it still tanked because the fans didn’t want it. I actually liked Suspect Behaviour, and will be forever annoyed that they ended it on a cliffie.

So, Hart Hanson, Fox and general Bones fans, learn something from our massive failure. If a spin-off is hated from the start, it WILL be cancelled. Save yourself the pain of getting into the new show. In the end you’ll just be disappointed.

  8. Lisa on December 5th, 2011 3:22 pm

I don’t understand why FOX didn’t just air the Finder from September to December so that Bones could run from January on. Average viewers are not going to be turning on FOX at 8:00 p.m.on some random Thursday in January for Bones. They’re going to think this is the last one before Bones comes back in April. FOX is already taking a big chance with ratings for Bones anyway with that break.

There’s no way I would say this is a good thing. It’s one more time Bones fans are expected to jump through hoops to see a first run episode of the show.

  9. Sam on December 5th, 2011 4:01 pm

This is such a stupid move by Fox and HH. It’s great that they are using Bones as a lead in but seriously!? We had a hiatus of 5 very long months, then a two week break and then now 5 weeks and then again another hiatus till April!! I’m a loyal fan but I’m seriously getting annoyed that this show keeps being pushed around! I have a feeling we won’t be getting a season 8 due to low ratings since the average viewer won’t know what the heck is going on. I hope the Finder fails miserably!!

  10. andrea on December 5th, 2011 4:03 pm

Not happy with this at all! I was looking forward to the next two Bones episodes to round out the year before the long wait until next spring!. The Finder was okay, but I’m not happy to have to wait until January 10th to see The Crack in the Code-and from reading this post many fans feel the same way. Luckily, the Twist in the Twister looks awesome and it will have to hold me over until next year. So sad 🙁

  11. SueK on December 5th, 2011 4:19 pm

I am reminded of an old “Angel” episode where he is talking about Wolfram and Hart (how coincidental). Angel tells Lorne:
“Two hundred highly intelligent law school graduates workin’ full-time drivin’ me crazy. Why the hell is everyone so surprised that it’s working? But, no. It’s, “Angel, why are you so cranky? Angel, you should lighten up. You should smile. You should wear a nice plaid.”
Well substitute FOX for Wolfram and Hart and figure it out from there.

  12. Cherise on December 5th, 2011 4:47 pm

    Boooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Angie the second on December 5th, 2011 5:22 pm

Don’t like this at all. I won’t be negative and hope The Finder tanks(which it probably will), but I won’t watch it. I will watch another show on another network while it is on and then turn it back to Fox when Bones is on. I see I am not the only one that feels this way. The last thing I will say about this is Fox better do something to rectify this sticky situation or the fans will retaliate. I hate to see Bones cancelled because I want another season, but if they keep messing with it, they will lose viewers, the ratings will go down and it will end up getting cancelled. Of course, maybe that is what Hart and Fox hope for so they can replace it with this idiotic show. They do that and I can gaurantee that this will be the last straw for the fans. Bones is one of the most watched shows on Fox(has been for a few years). I have heard many fans say if Fox cancels Bones, they will no longer watch anything else. CBS tried this once with another highly popular series. Look where it got them.

  14. Doris on December 5th, 2011 5:25 pm

A lot of this scheduling crap is simply because of Emily Deschanel’s maternity leave. I’m not taking anything away from Emily wanting to spend time with her new baby. However because of that, we are getting Finder rammed down our throats.

I can only hope Finder tanks big time, and Fox asks the Bones producers to make more episodes for this season. I read somewhere that Fox has asked for four more new Bones episodes to be spread out somewhere along the schedule. We’ll see if that happens. In the meantime, to wear Marissa’s rose-coloured glasses; moving the The Crack in the Code to January, does make some sense. Late December episodes tend to do poorly in the ratings. At least having a new Bones in January will make the wait until April a little bit shorter. Don’t hate me for trying to put a positive spin on this! 🙂

  15. gina on December 5th, 2011 6:19 pm

My only thing is, why is Fox so certain people will tune into this ‘speical’ episode of Bones? They are used to Bones being on @ 9. NOT 8. This is January, they already got their TV watching schedules down. They will most likely catch Bones another way because they are already watching something @ 8….

  16. Leesa on December 5th, 2011 6:31 pm

I detest the huge breaks between Bones eps as much as the next person but I lay all responsibility at Fox’ feet. I’m fairly certain HH doesn’t have control over scheduling at Fox. I can’t imagine he enjoys having his show screwed around with all the time.
Also, it appears I may be in the minority here but I am looking forward to seeing The Finder again. I didn’t mind it. Just because I love Bones I’m not prepared to sling mud at a show that has only shown 1 ep so far.

  17. Phillip Martinez on December 5th, 2011 6:50 pm

Is Fox actually trying to pull a CBS?? CBS did it well with Ncis/Ncis Los Angeles. But that’s because its Ncis. I hope it works out. I like Bones at 8 central time. Nothing else really is on to catch my interest. But whatever, apparently our opinion wont ever matter to these network big wigs. We only just decide the fate of a show, but whatever… lol

  18. Sarah on December 5th, 2011 7:02 pm

I remember HH once saying that Fox wanted to air Santa in the Slush in January, and at that time, he and others on the team were like “Please do not…” Can you even imagine a Christmas episode after the fact? That would be terrible! But the point is that, unless it’s something like that, I’m sure the Bones team doesn’t have much say in the Fox schedule. The only thing that makes this seem like an issue is that Finder and Bones have the same creators. Thus, it appears to be related.

However, Bones has a long history of getting the Fox created shaft in terms of being moved around from night to night (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays all come to mind), and also getting postponed for baseball, presidential debates, American Idol or whatever else Fox needs to place in its space. This one just feels more personal because it’s the Finder, and because it sometimes feels like HH is picking one ‘kid’ over the other.

But those two things are sort of external variables, IMO.

I’ll probably tune in to The Finder, at least once or twice, just to see if I like it. HH has created some characters and moments I’ve loved, so I’m willing to give it a chance. If it sucks, I won’t remain a viewer. Simple as that. The Finder as a BONES ep made me want to light something on fire (which means I won’t be watching Fox on 12/15) , but perhaps in its own right, it won’t be terrible.

We shall see. Thanks for the info, Marisa!

  19. El on December 5th, 2011 7:31 pm

I have to admit that I am not a fan of HH but that does not mean that he has any control over this. Yes, he wants The Finder to be a big success because this is his job. He has a job with either show so he wants something to fall back on when Bones ends, which is probably after Season 8. He will do everything in his power to make his new “Baby” a success. But this is not his doing. What is his doing is putting strong episodes on at the right time. Putting the Brennancentric episode and this last Booth centered episode in December when viewership is down is not the best plan. Had he aired those episodes during November sweeps, it may have encourged viewers that left to stick with the show. Both episodes after the premiere where down about 10% or more.

Fox has to do major advertising to get people to watch at 8 p.m. Again, the Big Bang Theory is big competition in the demo, I am not sure what will be on other networks but I don’t think Bones will give them the lead in that they think. Probably the standard Bones viewership. If Grey’s comes back strong as it ended in the Fall Finale, the Finder is in trouble. Plus POI is doing pretty well and The Office has a pretty good demo,

They may have been better off airing after AI.

  20. Jean on December 5th, 2011 8:46 pm

I use to watch Bones here and there until Netflix because it moved around so much. I got hooked watching episode after episode. By having big gaps in-between new shows, people lose interest. I understand Emily having to take time off and I read that she was amazing working up to her delivery date, but enough is enough. I loved the fact that Bones would have 22 to 26 episodes in a season, now down to 13 🙁

I am happy that I will see a new episode in January and not have to wait until
April, however a 5 week wait until January 12th and another 11 week wait until April is too long. The thoughts that are keeping me hopeful for a decent season is that there will be more action once Emily comes back no longer pregnant.

Also, interviews have shown that Hart Hanson and the cast didn’t expect Bones to last as long as it has. My opinion is that Hart is moving on from Bones because now that they are together, the show will probably end this season, or at the most, next.

  21. Alysin on December 5th, 2011 10:30 pm

Hmmm … there sure are alot of ‘interesting opinions’ here! Although, like many have said … I tend to ‘agree’ with the majority who feel “The Finder” will drown! Really, it doesn’t even matter so much to hear that some of ‘Bones’ costars will ‘guest spot’ on “The Finder”! Honestly, to me … that sounds like a ‘desperate attempt’ to get people to ‘tune in’ to “The Finder” because obviously, Geoff Stults CANNOT ‘stand alone by himself’ with the other actors who will regularly star on it. And since “The Finder” will NOT have Deschanel or Boreanaz doing any ‘guest spots’ (taking it for granted … as nothing has been mentioned as of now) … I’m NOT especially thinking that it’s gonna become ‘heavily-successful’ just because a few ‘Bones’ costars will make a ‘guest appearance’ now-and-then! Now, I’m NOT trying to ‘backlash’ any of the ‘Bones’ costars (Conlin, Thyne, Taylor or Daley) as I enjoy watching them on “Bones’! But honestly, that’s just it! I want to watch them on ‘Bones’ … not “The Finder”! Also, if “The Finder” is NOT LIKED by the viewers, (which it’s absolutely GUARANTEED it won’t be) then I guess FOX and Hanson are thinking people will watch it just because the ‘Bones’ people are on it. Well, I myself, would NOT THINK people would watch just because of “Bones’ costars … and I come to this conclusion because when Boreanaz and Deschanel (who are ‘Bones’ leads) did their ‘guest spot’ on “The Finder” last year, the ratings were ‘average’ at best … nothing really ‘huge or outstanding’ … so, if either of the leads could NOT make a ‘huge difference’ for The Finder’s ratings to grow … I can’t see it happening from the ‘Bones’ costars, either! And anyways … it was “The Finder” show that viewers did NOT want to watch … that was WHY the ‘Bones’ cast made NO DIFFERENCE! Yeah, I’ve said it before … and I’ll say it again … ‘Bones’ and “The Finder” have nothing ‘in common’ … and no one wants to watch ‘Bones’ on “The Finder” or vice-versa! Simple as that! Another thing … is Geoff Stults! Yeah … like we’re all gonna WATCH “The Finder” TO OUR HEARTS CONTENT just because of him?? Sorry … it certainly will NOT happen for me … as Stults is NOT a good actor, IMO! So, there’s another reason why “The Finder” will NOT happen! Face it, FOX … and especially, Mr. ”Arrogant” Hanson (who believes without any doubt that ‘his Finder’ is awesome … HELP-HELP-HELP … YOU’RE WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, Hanson!) … it’s “Bones” that people WANT TO WATCH, because of the ‘amazing chemistry’ Boreanaz and Deschanel portray as Booth and Brennan … and next, because of the forensic team, and their ‘expertise’ in solving cases! In NO WAY … can “The Finder” ever compare as better than ‘Bones’! Just wait … The Finder’s ratings results will be SEEN in January. Let me get a ‘headstart’ in saying “Goodbye, Finder! … You will NOT be missed!” I just also hope that ‘Bones’ will not suffer when it returns in ? ? ? … what is it?? March?? April?? Now, to FOX … are you listening?? Well … here it is! There better be a Season 8 for ‘Bones’ … and a cancellation for ‘The Finder’! End of story!

  22. Annoyed on December 6th, 2011 2:26 am

THe finder episode of Bones was boring! Justsayin’ so I know I may not be watching the show especially since it is messing with my Bones! What this looks like is they know there won’t be a season 8 of Bones and so they are creating a new show to replace it. If that happens, I won’t have a show to watch because other than the Closer, the only other show on tv that I watch is Bones. The finder needs to e a summer show or something. If Bones get canceled because of low ratings when it comes back or if there isn’t a season 8, Hart Hanson and Fox will be on my sh*tlist because I know it will be because of this little fiasco.

  23. Annoyed on December 6th, 2011 2:30 am

Oh, and I have been a Bones fan since late season 1. I think this will piss off a lot of other fans who have watched since season one too.

  24. Astrokika on December 6th, 2011 8:18 am

Crap! Bad news, another crappy change…and for that stupid The Finder show! What are they thinking? i am NOT watching The Finder, IS NOT a Bones spin off, and the pilot was really bad…so leave my Bones alone!
I can’t believe this, in my opinion this is disrespectful for the fans and for a good show like Bones, we deserve better than this…can’t wait for The Finder failure and quick cancellation!
HH and Fox are trying so hard to drag Bones’s fans to watch that stupid new show…unbelievable, didn’t they learn anything of that same attempt to make us “love” Saint Hannah Burley?

  25. Cheryl on December 6th, 2011 6:44 pm

I have been a ‘Bones’ viewer and fan since the first episode. I ‘lurk’ out there reading the blogs and spoilers but have never posted. I thought the ‘Finder’ was boring also. I too understand that changes had to be made to accomodate Emily’s pregnancy, but this does sound like more is going on. I have a feeling ‘Bones’ may be on the way out and HH and company are more interested in ‘Finder’. I’ll watch the first episode but if its as boring as the ‘Finder’ one on ‘Bones’ I will be tuning out also. I was looking forward to the episode ‘The Crack in the Code’, I am pissed it is now being moved to January. Bad move! 🙁

  26. AJ on December 7th, 2011 2:54 pm

It is about time that Bone’s fans speak up and comment about Fox’s ho-hum attitude about this show. Note I said Fox, and not specifically HH, but I think they both have responsiblities that have been shirked.

As a Fan of this show since the 1st episode, it became painfully aware to me that Fox considered and still considers this show to be second best and unable to be NO.1 in any time slot. There ARE facts to back this up. Six years worth. Fox continually moved this show to many different nights and timeslots and did so with far less fanfare (advertising) than American Idol and House for instance. Bones is and ALWAYS has been supported less by Fox. The ratings support this theory as Bones can do well in different time slots, but just can’t climb on top as NO. 1. Yes, Yes, the demographics are important and often Bones does well in the 18-49 group. But right now doing well or great is deemed as 2.6/7. Folks………..tv shows got canceled with demos like that in 2005.

I am a Bones fan, but I can be fair and honest with the facts. Fact: Bones can’t go up against Grey’s and win. (Greys’s is a good example of a long running fanbase that supports and the fact you can put leads together break them up and back toether again and SURVIVE, HINT HINT !!!) Fact: CBS’ Person of Interest already beats Bones in the viewer numbers, and will most likely win in the demos soon. FACT: This one has even got HH tweeting about it- less and less fans are to be found, people don’t watch TV as much and ratings are down across the board- this equals money problems for the networks……

………which equals less patience from the networks and more willingness to try new shows. AKA- The Finder.

Finally the harshest fact: Bones fans by and large are disgruntled. Like it or not, scream at us if you want, but the most loyal fanbase for a long running TV series on FOX got crapped on by how the leads ended the will-they or won’t-they dance. It was just plain …………….glossed over, crappy crappy writing. (Everybody sing it !!!! Let’s do the Time Warp again!!!! ) Less viewers and losing fans AND pushing episodes around in hopes of pulling in some numbers for a new show adds up to trouble for Bones and FOX.

It is the trifecta of a Sh_t Storm for the show Bones.

One last thing about HH. I MUST include all those who are sporting the title of Executive Producer now with the credits roll with Bones on TV. HH and SN and DB and ED and oh Ian Toynton (??? director of some of my fav episodes of Bones) have a voice. No, they can’t take a dry erase marker and pencil in Bones just anywhere on the time schedule, but………………….they can stand up for thier show. HH is not just a producer he is the creator. He ought to be smart enough to understand why Fox asked him for 4 more episodes with no time frame for them to be shown. The facts show that HH has lost interest in Bones, his time this fall was spent on location and out of state with the Finder, and wasn’t even around for editing of some of the episodes. It shows, plain and simple.

I didn’t sleep at a Holiday Inn last night, but I don’t have to in order to figure out that when you are using fake backdrops for outdoor scenes for Bones, and you are flyig cast, crew for the Finder to Florida for two weeks; that someone is getting the short end of the stick. The editing for Bones this season appears to be completed by a group of 5th graders- did the Finder get them too????

Stand up for the damn show you created HH. Get involved in it, put some love back into it, don’t settle for second best ……..not for Bones. You CAN do that, we are not stupid.

  27. laura on December 7th, 2011 4:29 pm

One has to be blind not to see the writing on the wall….. BONES will
be ending at the end of season 7.
The writing and acting has been poor at best for season 6…..
The plots are no longer interesting compared to season 1-3….
Now it is conversation about babies etc….. Brennan has become a
    female Mr.Spock….
Since some of the co stars are will be on The Finder…. I guess to hope for a
carry over from Bones fans and when Bones is no more…. They can become
    regulars on The Finder….
The problem is…… I doubt The Finder will last a full season. Bones fans will not
watch it since they believe Bones has suffered due to The Finder.
I saw The Finder and found the lead actor as the major problem with the
    show.
I hope when Bones ends it is on a high note…. let Brennan/Booth marry and all
    other lose ends addressed.
Just like in the last episode of Magnum PI…

  28. Judie on December 7th, 2011 8:15 pm

Well, well, well! FOX is once again SHIFTING AROUND a Bones episode?? This is also supposedly with their logic that this EPISODE MOVE will give Hanson’s Finder show help with AWESOME RATINGS? Oh, they’ve got to be kidding! In all truthfulness, this program change WILL NOT HELP “THE FINDER” — NO WAY, NO HOW!! All it’s going to do is have the Bones fans WATCH BONES (and at a later date) and then TURN THE CHANNEL! HURRAY!!! At least, us Bones fans can figure that out! As for Fox and Hanson?? Unbelievable, they can’t figure that out! Well, let’s give them ANOTHER REMINDER, shall we?? LOOK FOX!! HANSON!! — NO ONE LIKES “THE FINDER” — and delaying a NEW Bones episode only makes us, BONES FANS, more angry that we are getting THE RUNAROUND with our Bones episodes, especially when having to watch an already SHORTENED SEASON! So now, we have to COPE with this GARBAGE FINDER replacing our Bones, too?? WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! I will NOT GIVE THE TIME OF DAY to anything Finder! I also believe (from reading several comments) that many other fans feel the same way. Obviously, bottom line is that HANSON is going to NEED HELP in finding a way to get “The Finder” to stay on the air! Hope FOX just cancels it! That would SAVE alot of disappointment later for them!

As for Bones future, I hope that Deschanel is NOT considering leaving the show. It’s been on my mind alot lately, just because she is a new mother now, and maybe, she just might want to TAKE A BREAK from her acting career to raise her son. Really, that’s NOT too far-fetched in thinking so, as her husband, Hornsby, could continue with his show “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”! After some time, Deschanel could return to acting if she wanted. But hopefully, I’m seriously wrong in this possible assumption of mine. Or, another thing could be that maybe Boreanaz wants to turn to directing more — who knows?? Although, I do feel it’s one or the other. Again, hopefully, I’m wrong, as I would like to see (at least) another 2 seasons of Bones. It seems that the Bones storylines have been ‘way too fast-paced’ lately, and things need to be ‘spelled out’ more in explanation to make sense of what is being told — to us, the viewers. Brennan is more clueless than ever, and Booth is different, too! I’m happy they are together, but really, there is still something lacking. It doesn’t seem REAL enough. Maybe because we haven’t witnessed the very beginning when they first started their relationship?? There are times when I think the writers just want to sink Bones, and help Hanson with his Finder take-off! Sorry, but had to dish it out –as this has made me uneasy since Season 6 was a letdown, too! Just hoping for IMPROVEMENT with our Bones storylines, besides an abysmal downfall for that pathetic FINDER!

  29. Jen on January 6th, 2012 5:13 pm

I am completely confused about the schedule for Bones this year, but really, I’m just glad there IS one. I love Bones so much and I don’t mind having to wait (after all, it’s for Emily Deschanel to be with her new baby. She most definently deserves that!) I may watch the Finder, I don’t know, I just don’t want Bones to be cancelled…ever! 🙂

  30. shane on January 7th, 2012 3:06 am

Family first. What is happening with Bones is nothing new. It is the season of American Idol and Bones gets the short end of the stick. I’m sure there is some type of contract between Fox and HH about how the season will go

  31. Robin on January 7th, 2012 4:36 pm

This is so tedious. I hadn’t heard that the “Crack in the Code” was being delayed till the last minute, and I was soooo disappointed….For “Finder” repeat, no less. As many others probably did, I turned the TV off. I really dislike the “Finder.” Geoff Stultz is so lame. I can’t believe that they change the “Bones” schedule so casually and don’t get the word out adequately. That’s a great way to lose fans and get the show cancelled. I adore “Bones,” yeah, even with the Hannah debacle last season, but disappoint the casual “Bones” fans often enough and you will definitely lose them. I just hope “Finder” tanks quick, and they film more “Bones” epis to replace them!!! We’ll be there for “Bones,” but not for “Finder.”

  32. Kristin on January 7th, 2012 10:56 pm

The worst part for me is that I didn’t know that there would only be 1 episode in January. I thought they would at least give us a few. I have been a fan since the show started. I hate that they are messing with the schedule, starting so late and then ending so early. I don’t really think the Finder is so great, but at least there will be Bones characters in it. Second hand Bones may be all we get for a while.

  33. Linda on January 21st, 2012 3:58 pm

This is going to be short and not so sweet. I want to see a new “Bone’s” episode and I want to see them every week. Not a show here and a show there. Instead I have to put up with basketball games (I’m not a sports fan) and “The Finder” which I didn’t like when I saw the first episode. All I have are seasons 1 thru 6 on DVD to keep me happy at this point. Stop screwing around!

  34. Jordan on January 23rd, 2012 3:19 am

First of all I love Bones. FOR all you haters out there, “The Finder” is quite good, the 2nd episode actually sneaks Sweets in the show, loved this!! I hope we see more characters from Bones pop into this show! The only thing I don’t really understand, is why Bones episodes are so spaced out? After a crack in the code, I heard we won’t be getting a new bones episode until march? I assume it has something to do with Emily and her new born baby IN REAL LIFE. But this is only an assumption. I will have to assume The Finder will be a filler for Bones until she gets her family on track etc. if this is the case, I completely understand! I guess I just wanted some clarification. Regardless, just because you don’t get exactly what you want, don’t hate on a worthy show like The Finder.. It really is quite entertaining, give it a chance, it has promise! Anyhow, in the mean time, I will be Finishing Stargate Universe reruns on Netflix, and watching how I met your mother as well..

Well seing as how bones is fox’s second highest rated show, and your casual fan will already see no point to tune in due to a lack of sexual tension element. this is their way of promoting the finder, not battle with major sports for ratings, and give the writers time to try and save the show from becoming stagnant. Let’s face it killing of nigel went over far to unnoticed except many of us wish they’d have killed sweet’s girlfriend off instead. Baby drama will only pike interest for so long and so if serial killers with no basis for most of the shows comedy persists we become another law n order or criminal minds. Bones is so great cuz it mixes sitcom and drama elements so well. It’s not like play dates between Angela’s baby and bones’ baby can keep us entertained. so building suspense for the best serial killer yet, even surpassing gormagon, as well as the chance to find a legititament replacement for zach is their best bet to save the show from itself. Yes we all wanted bones n booth together but we all secretely knew it would mean the end of the show now its just a question of how long can we hold of the inevitable.
