About Last Night…AMERICAN IDOL, WHITE COLLAR, RINGER and More

A relatively calm Tuesday night, but two hours of AMERICAN IDOL takes a lot out of a girl.

Let’s talk about what went down last night…

It was boys night on AMERICAN IDOL…and yet so many of the guys sang songs originally performed by females. Obviously, they shouldn’t have to sing songs done by men, but some of them seemed so out of their reach (Adele? Oy vey) I enjoyed Colton,  Aaron, HeeJun Han and the newly saved Jermaine Jones, but it seemed like a lackluster night of performances — and every contestant was heaped with praises by the judges. (Oh, and leading off the live performance shows with “Moves Like Jagger” — from THE VOICE judges — after the AMERICAN IDOL judges spent weeks bashing them? Ha.)

RINGER. Oh, RINGER. What could have been the only good twist of the hour — Siobhan being pregnant with twins and having doubts about their paternity — was ruined in the promos. And can we be done with Juliet’s mom now? But no, we won’t be, because there’s still the mystery of who she paid to beat up the other co-conspirator.

Neal, what have you done?! I really enjoyed the WHITE COLLAR finale, but I was so disappointed that Neal chose to run away. Given how many times the relationship between Neal and Peter has been fractured, I’m wondering what this is going to do to their bromance.

It’s wrong to want to wear a helmet after last night’s episode of COUGAR TOWN, right? I did love that we got to see Bob at work…of course he’s a doctor. The helmet will be sticking around for a while, so I’m curious to see how big a role it’ll play in future storylines.

SOUTHLAND and UNFORGETTABLE are still on my DVR. Did anyone watch them? If not, what did you watch?
