About Last Night…AMERICAN IDOL, BENT, and PSYCH

March 22, 2012 by

A relatively light Wednesday night for television, but still a few things to talk about…

Finally excited about a couple of AMERICAN IDOL contestants. Colton and Jessica have constantly been amazing, and I genuinely look forward to seeing what they’ll do each week. I’m thisclose to being really excited about Phillip Phillips, too. (But Diddy as a mentor for Billy Joel week? Seriously?)

I find BENT adorable. Is it the world’s best series? No. But I enjoy it when I watch, and it’s unfortunate NBC has decided to essentially bury it.

Last night’s episode of PSYCH brought me so much joy. Blackapella (AKA Quarter Black) singing=fun times. (And of course, that means we also get a special version of the theme song whenever they show up.) Chemistry is such an interesting thing between actors, and it was amazing that Dule Hill and James Roday still managed to feel so uniquely Gus and Shawn, even when they were apart and only interacting via an iPad. (That iPad fist bump was insane.) And does anyone doubt that Lassiter really has “probable cause door-kicking shoes”?

I loved last nights episode of PSYCH. The whole FaceTime thing was great. I liked when Shawn said that he was glad to use his IPad for something other than playing Fruit Ninja! I have killed a lot of time playing that game myself!
