ONCE UPON A TIME: ‘A Stable Boy’ Photo Preview. Plus, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis Tease Barbara Hershey as Regina’s Mother

It’s time to meet the Evil Queen’s mother!
Cora (played by Barbara Hershey) first pops up in this season’s “A Stable Boy,” and based on the promotional pictures that ABC has just released, it looks like the apple might not have fallen far from the tree.
But how similar are the Evil Queen and her mother? Executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently sat down with a group of reporters and I couldn’t resist asking what fans should expect from Mommy Dearest.
Kitsis praised Hershey’s work as “just so much fun and so great” before noting that “her daughter came from somewhere.”
“We have a saying: evil is not born, it’s made,” Horowitz added. “And I would say that her mother has a specific viewpoint about the world.”
“You will hopefully get a good insight into Regina and why she is the way she is,” Kitsis teased.
