FRINGE’s Anna Torv: There Are a Couple of Big Things in Tonight’s Episode That Change the Course of Our Show

April 6, 2012 by

It’s no secret FRINGE often changes things with some dramatic twists, and according to series star Anna Torv (Olivia), tonight’s brand new episode is no exception.

Yeah…it’s going to be a wild ride, guys.

When I was on the FRINGE set earlier this week, I spoke with Torv about that, got her take on the Fauxlivia and Lincoln relationship (you can also see Seth Gabel’s take here), and her thoughts on the newest version of Fauxlivia…

Any theories?

You know it’s annoying that people are like Lincoln needs some love, too but what about PETER? Peter literally lost the love from Walter, astrid and broyles have no memory of him and lost Olivia. There was no ‘poor Peter’ from the fans but yet Lincoln gets all the love?!!’

@trustmemyolivia: I talked with Josh about that. But his interview wasn’t focused on tonight’s hour, so that will go up soon.

My husband and I can’t wait for Fringe to air each week. We’re so hooked on this show. Loved Friday night’s episode and can’t wait for the next. All the characters
here and ‘there’ are so unique and fantastic. I love how there is a touch of humor in some of the episodes…just enough to lighten things up. The writing team must love their jobs.

    Love Fringe!

Just don’t understand how the studio can cancel such a great show that just gets better every week!

Sorry, but Fringe has been my favorite show for a long time but I must say it has become very boring as of late. I watched episodes of Alien recently and really that is a much better show with a much more interesting heroine.

I have enjoyed Fringe immensely, since the first episode, and this season has been no exception. I knew Peter would be back because, jeez, it’s PETER. And, I’ve been rooting for him and Olivia since about the second episode. However, I felt for Lincoln. Before last night’s episode I assumed that, in his desperation, they were going to turn Lincoln into a foil for Peter; possibly having Lincoln sacrifice Olivia in his love for her, rather than himself. I thought he was going to be the one to kill her or possibly send her or Peter to yet another alternate timeline. But, it looks like I might have been wrong, and I am grateful! I think the budding relationship with FauxLivia is adorable and a great way to satisfy the conflict, and also brings the focus onto a single enemy. I like it. 🙂

Anna Torv, is undoubtedly an excellent actress. She gave all that “tone” of differentiation of their two characters brilliantly interpreted by her, as also, besides that it is, in my view, she is the main protagonist of those fantastic atmospheres in science fiction that Fringe now has.
