THE VOICE: Christina Aguilera and Her Eliminated Contestant Talk About the Results Show

April 18, 2012 by

The cuts didn’t get easier on THE VOICE when Christina Aguilera had to choose between sending home Ashley De La Rosa (whom the other coaches publicly supported keeping) and Lindsey Pavao (whom had moved Aguilera to tears with her performance).

In the end, Aguilera chose to go with her emotions and saved Pavao to move on to the next round.

Backstage after the show, Aguilera and De La Rosa spoke with reporters about what went they were thinking during the elimination and more…

Do you think Aguilera made the right choice?

I think Ashley is a very WISE young woman, and watching her progress I can SEE that working with Christina has helped her with poise and being true to herself. I do think Ashley had the right coach to polish her, and she is clearly now heading for stardom. I’m not sure if Christina is wrong or not in her ultimate choices. Based on America’s VOTING, I’d say Christina seems to be onto something in terms of popular taste, even when the choices aren’t her first vocal choice. Could be she’s going for what she thinks will really win rather than her pure vocal preference. I mean, it is a
    reality competition…
