About Last Night…AMERICAN IDOL, SUBURGATORY, MODERN FAMILY and More

May 3, 2012 by

Wednesday night TV has become all about a singing competition and comedies for me. Let’s talk about what went down last night…

The. Fetus. Was. Covering. Its. Ears. I mean… I can’t even. SUBURGATORY is just so delightful. And as much as I’m enjoying George and Eden’s relationship, that was so uncool of him to move her into his home without telling Tessa in advance. There’s no way this can — or frankly, should — end well.

AMERICAN IDOL has a strong bunch, but I still feel there are three who are super strong (Phillip, Jessica and Skylar) and two who should be biding their time until they go home (Joshua and Hollie). I don’t know if I have one singular favorite, but I’m glad I’m not bored anymore.

Gloria’s reaction to Jay wanting to show her off as a trophy wife on last night’s MODERN FAMILY was adorable and perfectly in character. I was really amused to see the LA Metro be used by Cam, Mitchell, and Lily, but I felt terrible that poor little girl lost her bunny. (And Claire needs more days off.)

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the friendship between June and James on DON’T TRUST THE B—- IN APARTMENT 23. A little bad influence (even if it was to show off to the people who used to be in her life) isn’t a bad thing. I don’t want Chloe and James to be fighting, but her bringing Kevin Sorbo as her back-up celeb date was freaking brilliant.

REVENGE and SVU are still on my DVR. Heard good things about both, so which do you suggest I catch up on first? And what did you watch last night?

I actually really enjoyed last night’s Apt. 23 and I know it’s because it featured JVDB so much…he is the funniest part of the show and if more plots revolve around him I might actually become a fan!

Poor bunny…his boyfriend will miss him. Modern Family was good last night but not a standout for me.
