May 23, 2012 by

It’s all come down to this…will Phillip Phillips or Jessica Sanchez be voted the 2012 AMERICAN IDOL?

Find out…after the break. (Well, the jump. We don’t want to spoil those who haven’t seen the show yet.)

After a record-breaking 132 million (!) votes, Ryan Seacrest announced that Phillip Phillips won.

Are you happy with these results? Or were you hoping Jessica would take it all?

I think I was happier than Phillip Phillips was when he won.

@Kath: I don’t doubt this. Though his emotional hug with his family was lovely.

Happy and relieved for Jessica that she does not have to sing that finale song that they gave her. What a terrible winner’s song and first single that would have been!

Phillip’s not “original” HOME is a better song. But I liked Greg Holden’s rendition of it more.
