TAKE ME OUT: George Lopez Talks About Hosting Fox’s New Dating Series
June 6, 2012 by Marisa Roffman
Starting June 7th, Thursdays on Fox this summer will be devoted to finding singles love — or at least a successful date.
We’ve already given you a little preview of THE CHOICE, so now it’s time to highlight TAKE ME OUT, the George Lopez-hosted series that kicks off the night.
How TAKE ME OUT works is that a group of 30 women is introduced to one man. If they like what they see at first sight, they keep their light on. If they don’t, they turn their light off. As he reveals more about himself, they have the option to turn their light off at any point. Then if there are women remaining, he has the option of turning off the lights of any woman he isn’t interested in until he finds the “right” woman for him. However, if the women choose to turn off all their lights before they finish learning about him, he has to leave the show solo.
To get more details about the series, I spoke with Lopez to see what he could share…
TAKE ME OUT airs Thursdays at 8 PM on Fox. Will you be tuning in?
