Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Monday, July 16, 2012

July 16, 2012 by

Looking at all these television options on a post-Comic-Con Monday feels a little overwhelming, but hopefully you guys will be able to appreciate them better than I will.

Take a look at all of your choices for tonight…

The Bachelorette | 8pm on ABC
“The Men Tell All”
It’s an exciting, unpredictable reunion viewers won’t want to miss, as the most memorable bachelors from this season – including Sean, Chris, Kalon, Ryan, Doug, John “Wolf,” Tony and Travis – return to confront each other and Emily one last time on national television to dish the dirt and tell their side of the story. Tensions flare as the guys face off about one of the most disliked bachelors this season — Ryan. And one of the most controversial men, Kalon, takes the hot seat and gets a severe dressing down by the rest of the bachelors over his behavior. Sean, a devastated fan-favorite, also takes the hot seat, revealing how he handled his broken heart. Emily and Chris Harrison look back at some of the unforgettable moments of the season, as well as some unseen gems. A special preview of the third season of “Bachelor Pad” will also be presented

Hell’s Kitchen | 8pm on Fox
“9 Chefs Compete”
Chef Ramsay wants to put the remaining chefs’ palates to the test, so he brings in professional competitive eater, Joey “Jaws” Chestnut for a head-to-head wing eating competition. As if that weren’t enough, he follows up with one of his favorite and most notoriously difficult challenges – the blind taste test – and one contestant makes HELL’S KITCHEN history.

Fear Factor | 9pm on NBC
“Leeches & Shaved Heads & Tear Gas, Oh My! – Part 2”
Contestants must put on a brave face when they are pushed to their limits in hopes of winning $100,000. In the first stunt, contestants are ripped off a cliff’s edge and sent hurtling into space on a bungee line attached to a helicopter 500 feet away. Highlights from subsequent stunts include contestants being submerged in a tub full of leeches before having to consume 10 leeches; teammates working their way up a five-story building engulfed in flames, before being rocketed off the roof in an enormous explosion; and, teams facing their fears as they are confronted with the challenge of being tear gassed, tattooed or having their head and eyebrows shaved.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager | 8pm on ABC Family
“Past History”
Amy mentors new student Kathy, and Ricky and Adrian start their first day of college

So much more. Keep reading…

Masterchef | 9pm on Fox
“Top 8 Compete”
The judges put on their cowboy boots and take the Top 8 finalists to a Southern California rodeo where they will work in teams to prepare, cook and serve a hearty steak meal for 101 hungry cowboys. The winning team advances to the next round of competition, while the other amateur cooks must hop back in the saddle and compete in a heated pressure test. With elimination at stake and only twenty minutes to prepare six eggs in four different ways, the intensity reaches a boiling point.

American Ninja Warrior | 9pm on NBC
“Finals”
Top finishers from the NBC regional finals tackle the ultimate challenge – a four stage course modeled after the famed ‘Mount Midoriyama’ course in Japan. Tonight’s competitors take on Stage 1, which includes a Jumping Spider, Half Pipe Attack and Spinning Bridge. Only the competitors skilled enough to conquer all 8 obstacles will move onto Stage 2. Comedian Matt Iseman and Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley host and Angela Sun (“Yahoo! Sports Minute”) reports from the sidelines as the competitors continue in their quest for the $500,000 cash prize and the chance to win the first “American Ninja Warrior” title.

Michelle finds out more about Fanny’s financial troubles. Meanwhile, Boo’s relationship with the hot bartender (guest star Nathan Parsons “General Hospital”) at her new job makes the girls jealous.

Eureka | 9pm on Syfy | Series Finale
“Just Another Day”
Wormholes randomly materialize around Eureka as the Department of Defense is set to shut the town down in the series finale.

Perception | 10pm on TNT

Pierce is enlisted to help crack the case of a murdered mail-order bride. A twist marks the investigation when it’s discovered the prime suspect suffers from an unusual condition. Elsewhere, Moretti is drawn to a handsome new professor.

Bo confronts the Ash and receives a stunning response; Trick tries to look into the future at the risk of exposing too much to the wrong Fae.

The Glass House | 10:02pm on ABC
“Episode 105”
Following the elimination of either Ashley or Kevin, the remaining players navigate the field in a game called “Choose Your Weapon,” where each team has to defend its glass windmill. The first team to break all of the opposing team’s glass – using a variety of “weapons” – wins the challenge.
