THE SECRET CIRCLE may be gone, but Phoebe Tonkin is sticking around on The CW.

Warner Bros. has confirmed that Tonkin has landed a recurring role on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, which is a multi-layered reunion of sorts for her: not only did THE VAMPIRE DIARIES co-creator Kevin Williamson executive produce THE SECRET CIRCLE, but Tonkin also previously costarred with TVD’s Claire Holt in H2O: JUST ADD WATER.

So who will Tonkin be playing on TVD when she shows up in the third episode of the season?

According to E!, she’s playing Hayley, “a wild friend from Tyler’s [past], who is described as free-spirited and extremely sexy.” That’s not going to go over well for Caroline…
