CASTLE Lands Soap Star Tamara Braun for a Guest Spot

CASTLE has landed another former soap star — a show spokesperson confirms that former GENERAL HOSPITAL star Tamara Braun will guest star on an upcoming episode of the ABC series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (who was first to break the casting news), Braun will play Natalia Roosevelt, a bar owner/city councilwoman that Castle and Beckett encounter in the Hamptons when a case interrupts our dynamic duo’s romantic trip out of town. (Yeah, it’s OK if you need a moment to process that. We’re not in seasons 1-4 anymore, Toto.)

Of course, casting an actress with daytime experience is nothing new for CASTLE: Braun (who has also appeared on ALL MY CHILDREN and DAYS OF OUR LIVES), joins a long list of actors with soap experience on the series, from series stars Nathan Fillion (Castle) who spent a couple of years on the now-defunct ONE LIFE TO LIVE and Seamus Dever (Ryan) who was on GENERAL HOSPITAL, to many of their guest stars (whether it’s GH’s Jason Thompson, or the season 3 episode that focused on the behind-the-scenes shenanigans of a serialized series).
